u would think they would just do it for you as your payin them a bunch to get your motor built
Why would any shop do work for free?

I think he thought ATS had a lot of profit in my engine build and had monetary wiggle room to cover refreshing up my trans while it was out. I tried to explain, the situation wasn't that simple and I bought that trans long ago and that had nothing to do with my build.
Just talked to Mike over the phone. Helpful as could be. Ill report back with what I find.
Sheep must have been docile this morning
Didn't put up a fight.. :roflmao:
any updates?
thats awesome, happy you figured it out and nice of mike to helpLittle update... Had a clutch test done today with a Tech 2 and when commanded to 4th gear it went straight to 5th. C3s are kaput. Upon being informed of the results of that test ATS instructed me to send it to them and they will fix it.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike L. He not only spent time over the phone with me giving instructions on how to diag. this issue, he helped the GM tech make sense of the findings as well. I am grateful for Mikes help despite me giving him lip in the past and owning a purple Alli. It's obvious he cares about helping people reguardless of their choices.

I spoke at length with ATS about wether this go round will do better for me. As my unit is 4 years and 3 months old, they said their clutch production has changed. They insist the newer clutches will hold up well for me. Only time will tell.
