@JoshH I spoke to them about redoing an extra 04 wheel I planned on sticking in my 99 and I think we talked about doing the foam but actually wrapping it in leather. It's been a long time I never got around to the project.

Their website still says Rockwall. James being from a suburb of California may think every city in Texas is a suburb of Houston...

I wonder if they can do anything for the steering wheel on my 06. The leather is actually in pretty decent shape, but for some reason the foam on the spokes is really worn. I guess I like to rest my hands and fingers on the spokes more than I like to grip the wheel.

Damn right. Just like I work in Peoria but I just tell everyone it’s north west Phoenix. Or I live in new river but that’s just way north Phoenix or half way to Prescott

15703701 and 15703702 don’t come up on GM’s site at all

15075129 is discontinued but there are 3 dealers with it.

9177911 is missing a number
Try these for Neutral rear arm rest

So yesterday was a blast to get out to Barstow. Left phx without issue. Got to ripping down the i10 and noticed the alternator would start kicking out under real high boost and load. Let it ride as worse case I got 2 other batteries in the trailer I can swap with.

Hit Blythe, got food and fuel and kept on kickin. As we start to get up to the desert center and chriaco hill before Indio, I noticed engine temps climbing. Dropped to 4rh gear and 65 and they come down some but then suddenly I hear the fan cut out and temps keep going up. Then fan comes back on and temps come down to 220ish. Cuts back out and temps are headed to 260. Fuck this, I shut it down and pull off the road. Found the turbo coolant line split and puked most the coolant out. Robbed some old 3/8 air line off the truck that ain’t been used in years (good old hf orange plasticy stuff), put 4 gallons of water in and caught up to Nate where he had 3/8” injection line I swapped to.

Proceeded on in the 115* weather and pulled the hill decently. In Indio, it was 120* outside, didn’t catch that on camera but got the 118* I saw

Oil temps never saw over 245* at any point in this trip even with coolant reaching 240 some times. This is just a 2020 oil cooler, no external. I was pretty stoked on that

As we started to get to the turn off for yucca valley, we were all starting to heat up. I was running 215-220, buddy in front was running 228 (had a trailer like mine) and other buddy was at 215 (just a box trailer on his). Pulling that grade we were stuck to 35mph, 2nd gear and 3k rpm trying to stay cool and still pull the hill. When we finally crested the top, I had no power from the stop light till 2800rpm and then only the 483 comes alive. I think the wastegate flap broke off the stock turbo. At this point, I’m tired, pissed and still 1.5 hours out. Fuck it, I’m running this fucker. She ran 1200-1300* the whole way out from there and no power till 2800 but I ran her up to 4k rpm anyhow lol.

45 min from camp, trailer tire blows

Only lost the outside skirt trim but still. I’m about fed up at this point. Change the tire and roll on. Limped into camp at 4:30. We left at 8:30.

So now Erin is coming out Thursday night with the l5p and she can drive the limo home while I tow the trailer back with the l5p.

I guess she wants far more love that I thought. So should I go 364sxe for a valley charger?

Stock turbo does not like the big tune. It’s overspeeding it and it’s restrictive. I’d like to open that up some but not give up a ton of low end boost.

I have a much higher tolerance for lag than most people, so keep that in mind, but I'd second the S369sxe recommendation.

That is what my setup uses for a valley charger. S364.5/480.

I've done one customer's truck with a gated 366/485 and it's been awesome. If you need the borg PN for the divided internally gated housing let me know. Dustin has been crucial in that and has also shared some tips on how to improve the gate flow. My truck will be getting that housing this winter but I am also using a 64.5/68 not a 64.5/74 like most as I wanted response.

Which turbine were you thinking of going with?

No idea yet. It’s been years since I last looked into them. I’ll have to do my research again

My biggest thing is I want boost starting to come on around 1500rpm and full in around 1700. That way I can be towing along in 6th and not downshift. Granted she’s probably going to be retired from the big trailer . Be smaller stuff

lol exactly. I’m not against some higher flowing heads. I just need the cash and some base castings that are already higher flowing than stock
I was hoping to see more from the Edelbrock heads. I know a couple sets got ported but I don't know who did them or how they preformed.

It's a shame the Wagler aluminum castings had problems at high power levels. I'm running a set (only 790 HP) and they flow great as-cast. But they discontinued them, so I can't use them on the lower power stuff for some easy performance.

I was disappointed in the Edelbrock heads too.

You should slap some L5P heads on there, I bet the LLY FICM (and definitely the upcoming FUCM) can run the L5P injectors...
