Y'all remember that bolts are graded in tensile strength not shear. A 12.9 Allen will snap in half under heavy shear load with no warning compared to a 8.8 will bend alot before it breaks. Simon has a good thread on engine stand bolts somewhere around hear.

Right, which is why i was concerned on a engine stand. I didnt trust those 8.8 threads to hold my motor. Your using more tensil strenght on an engine stand than a shear strength

:rofl: Depends on your luck but I think I could make more hp with a LBZ and not break a piston, where a LB7/LLY would be bent.
