I didn't raise the cab or took off the fenders.:D

The motor mounts were a PITA. My Ingersoll Rand didn't have enough power to pull those bolts out. It took me forever to crank on those bolts by hand.

When I was removing the starter, I broke off the ground copper connector on the solenoid. Does GM dealers carry this solenoid? If so does anybody have a part number?

No , the whole starter needs to be replaced , Unless you can find a source on a soliniod , Maybe a local starter repair shop could set you up with one for fix it for you .

How does the LBZ motors get coolant to the heater core? The LMM has a line coming out right by the oil filter that goes to the heater core. I broke the tab off a few months ago. I made it work, but there is a small leak. I am just wondering what are my options to fix this.

Guys who relocated their second battery, did you remove the ground wire from the block and tap it in somewhere else or just kept the ground connected to the block? I am just trying to clean up some wires on the pass. side.

Did you find this out, I'm wondering also? The motor I bought has a solid peice where the LMM pipe goes.

The hoses to the heater core on an LBZ come from the lower radiator hose and the thermostat housing. The one from the lower radiator hose is a bent aluminum pipe that runs across the passenger's side valve cover and angles down next to the front accessory mounting bracket. The one from the thermostat housing comes out of a little fitting that is sealed with an o-ring and bolted down with a little tab. In a stock configuration, the hose runs to the EGR cooler and then from the EGR cooler to the heater core, but the hose is easily replaced when the EGR cooler is removed.

I am having a hard time tightening the flywheel bolts. I am wondering if its a bad idea to place the motor in the truck, and then tighten the flywheel bolts. The transmission is already out for a refresher. Any thoughts?

Just dont get sidetracked on something else and forget to tighten them.
