Oil leak

Make sure you don't have thin oil or to much oil in the crankcase. I have seen that make the rear main leak for no reason. Jeff

It's finally alive. :happy2: There was a big chunk of aluminum missing were the Rear Main Seal sits. It looks like a rear upper oil pan bolt that is right under the main seal had to much sealant in the hole and broke a chunk of aluminum off. It's all fixed.

She running good so far. I haven't noticed anymore leaks. Had to fix the IC tube since it was rubbing against the brass block for the dual cp3's. I need to put a few more miles on her before I let her rip.

I am getting a P02E8 (Air Intake Flow Value Position Sensor Circuit) DTC. Any ideas? Everything looks to be hooked up correctly.

Edit: Never mind, search is a wonderful feature. lol

Thanks Dave. It's good to see yours running as well.

I have some small issues to fix. My EGT gauge decided to stop working. One of my CP3 pumps is not working, and I believe I have a boost leak, but not sure until I get my gauge back up and working again. Little steps at a time.

On a good note: She finally got a bath!

Is your connection to your cp3 hooked up or your controller bad? An How much boost you building?

I uplugged the controller from the CP3 last night, and the truck started to rattle a little more. So I assume the controller is working correctly. I am getting a P0087 "low fuel rail pressure" code. I took apart the release valve last night, and tighten it to 65 ft. lbs. I will put everything back together tonight and see what will happen. On my second tune I am see around 38 psi. Very low, but could be a wastegate adjustment issue along with a boost leak issue. I am making a pressure tester tonight, and hopefully can test tomorrow night.

The CP3's are now holding rail pressure. :happy2: I believe I have the boost leak fixed as well, but will know more once the new EGT gauge comes in. The truck feels more responsive, and there is a lot less smoke coming out. I did hear an exhaust leak on the driver side header. Hope it's nothing to serious. I will pressure test the system this weekend.

I have a chi chi chi chi noise coming from the driver side. It sounds like an exhaust leak around the header. All the bolts are tight, and I see no soot anywhere around the header. Any suggestion? Should I replace the gasket?

check your balance rates to see if you blew out a copper washer under your injector. also make sure you check the all manifold bolts and the up-pipe bolts on the manifold and the turbo as well.

The balance rate looks good to me. All bolts are tight around the header and up pipe. Here is the log of the balance rate. Maybe I think I am hearing something that is not there. I will pressure test the system tonight. My EGT's are reaching 1500* with 1700 us. The boost is around 50 psi, and the bigger turbo is around 25 to 26 psi. I am not sure why I am seeing those high egt's beside a possible boost leak.

For some reason my built motor seems to rattle a little more then our other LMM when sitting side by side. Not sure if it's the extra compression larger injectors or what. This is with both of them sitting side by side running the stock tunes. Hopefully it's nothing your just hearing things.

I took the truck out again, and noticed the noise was getting louder. I started looking for the leak and noticed another leak. It smells a little like fuel, but it's black. I would guess I was hearing this leak. I believe it's coming from the injector. I guess I will start pulling more crap off the top.
