and here's my 1/4-1/2 tank running out of fuel issue, the supplied feed line actually split and was not attached to the billet pickup

So does this mean your billet pickup is for sale?

I left the billet pickup in the cup, I didnt see any need in messing with it.

IMO, the Hellman sump is the best way to go, gravity is your friend and it cost about the same as a billet pickup. I was worried about the drawstraw return being too much flow, but with 4 gallons in the tank it didnt seem to affect the way the truck ran, "at least it ran" and my fuel pressure gauge no longer bounces, so all in all, today was a good day :D

As of today i'm getting near to 1/4 tank with 230 miles on the odometer right now and the Fass pump is still running and no issues. Looks like this fixed my problem as I never did make it this far before :D

Why did you put it in the middle of the tank? Would it work better for racing in the rear of the tank?

It will make sence once once you look at the tank and are doing to install . the one thing i did different than Larry is my pick up hose faces rearward .

TX of course
Cool I never saw this before I like it. I don't know though my foreman and me both have taken out our fuel coolers already while driving around job sites. I guess I'll have to see if I have issues with the stock pick up.

here's a ?:

instead of having the return line run into the tank, could we just T into the supply line pre-lift pump and not risk cavitation/too much foaming?

Some guys were changing it so it returned to the tank without going to the cooler, and they rerouted it to from the tank to the cooler to the engine. IDK which way is better.
