I know if you scan with the scanner part of efi live (not just the v2) it will see tccm and abs codes.

Can’t remember but might need a relearn? I know the 11+ need a relearn sometimes to fix the issues your stating

Still making progress. Last night I pulled the bed and prepped the truck to drive to VA on Sunday for the “new” bed. Rides rough in stubby-bob mode. lol

4wd is fixed. Disconnected wire harness. 🤦‍♂️. Anyway, while she’s apart I switched the bolts around for when I put in new bushings in the leaf eyes and shackles. Plus I shit it with B’laster Shield. I also did some other small things.

The cross member seems to be missing bolts. Hmm!

I “Stubby Bob”’d it about 13hrs round trip. The bed is not even close to the right color (which I figured), but it’s in fantastic shape. No rust. The truck made it without fail :whew.

I tossed on some new lenses and my best tailgate. I’m making a cart to put the bed on to bring to a painter soon. That means I need to find front fenders PDQ and have him shoot them too. I’m replacing the hitch - looking for something that tucks up. Probably go with BHP.

Got the hitch on in the rain tonight. I’ll slap the bumper on tomorrow. I’m very surprised that it doesn’t attach as far up the frame as OEM. The forward most holes that the OEM hitch used aren’t used with the Big Hitch Products hitch. But that said, it’s a damned horse!

Curious to see what it looks like with the bumper on.

I have a Curt with 2 inch but the 2 1/2 hangs down a bit and IMO doesn't look right. but it does tie back further back into the frame than the 2 inch version.

I considered making my own, but too many other projects to get to first.

I will certainly post a follow up picture.

I really wanted that Curt, but the pics of how low it sits was just too fugly for me to bear, lol.

I will attach a pic from the BHP site, showing what to expect.

This is the 15302 on my truck. But I have seen a few of the 15703 and they have huge gap around 3 inches from what I have seen between the bumper and the top of the hitch. I guess it has something to do with the fit of the later GMT900 trucks or something. but it looks bad IMO on the GMT800.

Here is the Curt 15703 version for 2-1/2 inch style for comparison.

If I didn't buy this one, I was going to buy your 2" Curt. That 2-1/2" Curt is fugly, but the worst angle is from the side. Woof!

I agree... If I could get my hands on a used one I will re- engineer it to fit properly. I doubt I will find an original 15702 which used to be specific and fit the truck better. But If I did, I would duplicate the side plates for those that want to make one.

Pictures are a little dark. It’s pouring rain again. I managed to find a dry overhang and a buddy to help heft the FabFours on. Looks great IMHO. I also slapped in an amazonian armrest replacement lid and started on the hvac vent gauge pod :)

I blitzed the photo a little to show the hitch and bumper better:

Nothing big this weekend, but some little things.

Friday I got two front fenders! Great shape and the right color :) No rust.

I installed the left vent gauge for my lift pump pressure.

I shed a tear and drilled two holes into my new bumper, to mount my trailer wire connector 😭. Seeing the pic with light shining through the fabfours cutout, I’m thinking either make up some black plastic backers or cut them out to a size for mounting reverse lamps. 🤷🏼‍♂️ just realized I still need to put the license plate lamps on and the spare tire access hole cap.

Oh, I also put in a new alternator. This was my first WTF moment with the twin kit. Rather than drop the pass battery to unhook, I took the batt cable off the engine and shoved it into one of the thousands of empty diet
Coke bottles that my wife produces, lmao. Then popped the driver’s side negative and did the alt swap. Probably cut an hour off the job, hahaha.

AC crapped out again. Sniffer found nothing. Sprayed all
over; no bubbles, so I injected dye and gave it some charge. I’m worried it might be behind the dash 🤦‍♂️. We’ll see on Monday when I have a uv light.

I dropped in at cars and coffee this morning, and wasn’t really going to show it off, lol. I parked and a kid was dragging his father to my truck! They had a 1500 that looked like my truck, “BUT OURS ISNT A DIESEL LIKE YOURS!” I popped the hood. “OMG IS THAT A SECOND TURBO?” The kid was awesome. It was cool :) Dad said it would be the highlight of the kid’s day :)
