What did you do at work today?
Froze my butt today off helping to inventory several crates of WWII B-17 tooling, instrumentation and jigs/fixtures that were donated by Boeing Aircraft. Not really a job, it's a volunteer effort we are working on to restore a B-17 G back to flying condition. I am usually drilling rivets...- ALLY Fox

Need Help glow plug control
If the 175A fuse is OK, GPCM is probably fried, they go bad frequently. I replaced mine a couple of months ago, easy job, about $95USD for OEM. -
LLY: Injector issues.
Balance rates basically tell how much more or how much less fuel is needed to compensate for variations in crankshaft rotational speed to keep the engine running smoothly. There's lots more to it than that, but other things can cause mismatched balance rates besides injectors. "Icepicking"... -
6.6 Diesel Cranks Hard Randomly
Never heard of an entire underhood fuse block failing intermittently unless it's been damaged or splashed with salt water. The 175 A fuse can fail occasionally and a faulty "ignition" switch can mimic a bad fuse block and drive you crazy. Glad (hope) that fixed your problem, my hat's off to... -

If you have a good shop vac, yes, the pressure side can assist in priming the filter by pushing fuel thru the lines and also help to find leaks, if you have any. or you can make an adapter so you can use shop air at no more than 5-7 psi to push fuel through the system, just need to get a good...- ALLY Fox

New and need help after filter change
I have always had to stretch the large "O" ring and spin the filter on quickly before it relaxed to make it fit the groove properly when replacing the fuel filter. I don't remember a plastic stud on top of the filter but it's been several years since I changed my filter, I installed a new one...- ALLY Fox

Is the WIF sensor sealing properly? You may have to rebuild the filter head again, the "O" rings and seals only last a few years, especially in some of the cheaper kits. It's possible the filter itself is defective and not sealing. You can try pressurizing the fuel system with the pressure...- ALLY Fox

6.6 Diesel Cranks Hard Randomly
Mine did that too, I found that the bracket that ties the two batteries together to ground was loose. If it's like the LLY, there is a jumper cable ground point on the end of the bracket on the driver side near the battery. A single bolt attaches it to the motor. Tightened it and problem fixed! -
Anyone can't justify selling their older diesel for a newer truck ?

LLY: LLY thermostat replacement issues
Is your reading taken from the dash gauge or being read by an EDGE or similar device from the OBD port? The dash gauges on these trucks are notoriously inaccurate. -

My LLY limped twice on the 90 tune so I drove it easy and manually shifted 5-4 and 4-5 shifts until I saved up some pennies.
