    Mobil M1-303 is supposed to be one of the best filters you can use on a Duramax, I think I would have to agree although I'm not entirely convinced that higher oil pressure means it's a better filter.

    I wouldn't recommend drilling the frame, nor does GM. It doesn't make sense to cheap out on a hitch when it's going on a $30K+ truck to pull a $30K+ fifth wheel. Get a good hitch setup, like a B&W GN/Companion and you will never look back.

    H2s are always a good bet for temp wheels and you can find them cheap. I bought 2 sets, 1 nice chrome set for $100 and a nice $125 "alloy" set for winter. They'll get you by until you find something better, probably cheaper, stronger & safer than spacers.

    At this point, I would pull the pan and see what's in the bottom of it. Replace the filter if it looks clogged. BTW, did you check fluid level? Too much fluid will cause overheating, level should be below the hot mark when it's fully hot.....
