Thinking out loud here but the sleeves do not have a limited lifetime they can be used again and again after replacing the tie rods. The ball joint on the tie rods DO have a limited lifespan after which they go to o the scrap heap. Just my 2¢.
I read ferm's post but like he said this is an equation he and his friend came up with. If it works then great but why isn't this a GM standard approved procedure?
I am doing about the same build with a mark VI. Crank is tore up so stroking is my best choice.not that i want to use them but what rep do the vortec heads have?
