LMM: What Grade headstuds to use

I would rather do firerings and cheap studs than good studs and no rings. If you are running compounds and pushing them hard, that's a good sign you need both the 625's & firerings Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

LMM: What Grade headstuds to use

625's shouldn't be necessary if your sealing surfaces are flat. But it's up to you, never a bad idea to go overboard. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

LB7: ‘03 No Start Without A Little Help

There is a shop local to me that is famous for this. Seems like he has his customers jump for the lift pump band aid pretty quick when they hear the price difference of that vs. injector replacement.

LB7: Building a stock turbo puller, need help/opinions

Problem is 'stock turbo' turns into 'stock appearing' for most guys, then 2.5/2.6sb later, so on & so on.... To the point you will bend a stock rod for sure if you're trying to be competitive. If you have the engine apart, better do rods. If it's not apart, yes it will do you well for a long...

LB7: Building a stock turbo puller, need help/opinions

balancing is not an option, it's a requirement, if you're changing any of the parts or the weight of any of the parts in example delipping the Pistons Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

LB7: Building a stock turbo puller, need help/opinions

If you're going to have the rotating assembly apart, it'd be pretty dumb to not throw a set of rods in it. Unless you on tight budget.... Wagler's as forged rods come to mind.... Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

    LB7 piston cooling jets?

I just rebuilt a broke crank built engine that had two nozzles laying in the lower pan. They were un related to the broken crank. It seems like mahle Motorsports pistons' skirt extend further out of the bore, possibly causing the issue if the assembler isn't paying attention. On any Duramax...

    Georend vs suncoast

Exactly. Both make quality products and the 107x converters are supposed to be awesome, but it was hard for an average Joe like me to get ANY customer service out of Suncoast. Meanwhile the entire Goerend crew including Dave Goerend himself bend over backwards Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

LBZ: Best turbo and fuel to make 1500-1800hp with a 7.1 lbz

OP, I would recommend 2 12's if you are planning on 1500-1800. I'm not saying our setup was ideal for 1500. Our fuel package was not ideal for it because we didn't intend to be at that power level when built. Turbo wise, if it's a single, I'd do a promod 88 minimum. It should be capable of...

LBZ: Best turbo and fuel to make 1500-1800hp with a 7.1 lbz

Holding rail pressure is not all about the injector size, it's about the pulse width needed. And I am telling you that two 10's with 500's with a pt8891 will make over 1500 hp. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

LBZ: Best turbo and fuel to make 1500-1800hp with a 7.1 lbz

2 10mm & 500% overs with one precision pt8891 will make over 1500 for us so I'd say Brett's setup is closer to 2000 than 1500!! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
