Are you and your buddies tire sizes different? Even different brand tires might ride different…different load ratings? This is actually the first time I have heard of the BDS NTBD kit. I thought Cognito was the only one with it. Good to know! Make a garage and post some pictures of that beast...
Duramax trucks seem to sell pretty quick as long as they are either A: in good shape B: Not that good for cheap. Stick some time and money into it and you'll make a few bucks no problem.
I see LB7's in fair condition by me for sale for for 6-10k. If you can make it look real nice plus injectors for not a lot of money it could be worth 10-15k here depending how nice it is. Assuming it's 4x4.
Deals are out there though. My buddy bought his 06 CCLB with 230k on it for $13,500.
I agree with Big Block 88 post #18
Sounds like he may have been pretty hard on it to me. What was he doing when it broke? See what condition the rest of the truck is in and it might give you a better idea of how he took care of the truck mechanically.
Mine is the same way and has been for a while. Works when it wants too. Seems like it made it worse when I changed the fluid. Can't put the truck sideways anymore, just ends up burning the inside tire.
I think I'm gonna go with a Detroit True Trac
Yes it should be. My truck I had the bottoms of the doors covered under the rust warranty before it hit 100k and they were just bubbling at the seams. As long as you have a good dealer you should have no problem getting it covered.
Just like arguing diesel truck brands. We all have our favorites.
That Dodge/Case combo is pretty cool. The interior of the hoe looks nicer than my truck, lol.
Hmm. I have 1 napa replacement and 1 Advance Auto (wanted to see which lasted better). The advance auto boot already ripped. I haven't had a problem with either holding together though with cranked bars so far.
Colorado doesn't use salt on the roads though…just sand, correct? When I was in Denver I didn't see any older vehicles rusted like here in MI.
I think my supports are good. I wash mine a lot though and have been storing it for the past 2 winters. My dad's 06 has a lot of surface rust underneath...
