    Slow to turn over...

That won't cause it to slowly turn over. Just long crank or no start

    In need of some guidance

I forgot. The L5P has the SCR after the DPF that would just clog up if you flipped the DPF around. Can still pull the DPF and wash it though

    In need of some guidance

Probably could have done what I did on my LMM so I could flip the DPF around for self cleaning of the ash. No need to wash it or special cleaning. I flip it around oce every other year or so as a preventative measure. Takes about 10 minutes or less

L5P injectors require back pressure to operate?

I believe that is only applicable to piezoelectric injectors. L5P uses solenoid

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

Lean conditions wont hurt anything. Only over fueling or excessive timing will. As least for what you are concerned with. If it's weak or low on power and running lean then let him drive it all he wants. Remember, this is a diesel and not gasoline. Apple and Orange when it comes to fuel to air...

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

If you are just measuring the wires, end to end should be as close to zero ohms as possible. Most meters don't have the resolution needed to accurately measure values that low so as long as it's sub 1 ohm your probably fine. Load testing is a way to confirm integrity too. For wire to wire or...

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

I would guess the sensor is bad and sending 5v down the signal wire. But I wouldn't skip testing the wires

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

Close. Replace amps with volts and you get closer. Many of these sensors are just voltage dividers. Some are frequency based that output a specific frequency for a detected flow or pressure. But based on what I see on the schematic I posted above it looks like a voltage divider. 5v on one side...

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

I wouldn't make any assumptions that the ground and 5v are good and it has to be the sensor. What does it read unplugged? Did you ohm out all the lines and check ohms between the lines too?

We had fog this morning. Very odd for this time of year. Been in the 90s during the day with mid to high 60s at night. Then all of a sudden fog and low 50 in the morning. Normally there isn't enough humidity to reach dew point at these temperatures.

I'd just stick some LED bulbs in it before sealing it up...

    Water intrusion

That would be my next guess. Either the antenna or roof marker lights. My Jetta had a leak at the antenna. A loosened it up, put some polyurethane sealant under it and tightened it back up and hasn't leaked since. Going through the headliner was a pain

    Water intrusion

Can you cause it to leak with a garden hose around the exterior? I'm thinking either windshield sealant or cowl

Do you have a sun roof?

Ok. Yeah, without the information I couldn't match you up. I'll fix it after I get home from work. Take note how Mark posts his information. That certainly makes it helpful and avoiding errors

How do you plan on capturing the error conditions for codes? Or am I missing something here?
