Lb7 crank no start 6k rail pressure

As JoshH said. That is why I asked the question as I did. The positive side of the injector line will give you a false reading. If anything, hook the test light across both injector lines and not to ground

What test light are you using and how are you testing?

L5P will barely start, then die Please Help

You can sort of get a vague idea by carefully measuring the pushrods or rockers in relation to the piston. But you'll still be second guessing until you open the front cover and actually look

Considering Buying LBZ Dually with 500k+ Miles

Worth it. If it's stock and maintenance was done correctly there is little to worry about on the pistons, rods or crank. One can make an argument that if they where going to fail then it would have already. In stock form these engines and transmissions last a long time

Considering Buying LBZ Dually with 500k+ Miles

Really depends on the condition of the rest of the truck. Rust on body panels? Frame? Rotors and calipers? How does the interior look? Some wear and tear is expected for that many miles but is it going to be a maintenance money pit or has it been taken care of? If it's in good shape I don't...

    04 zf6 fuel knock

Definitely. Easiest test is to have them charged up then disconnect both over night and measure the voltage of each battery the next day. The shorted one will typically be around high 10s to low 11s while the good battery will be 12.5 to 12.8 volts

    Base Torque tuning

I don't know if anyone outside of the original programmers truly knows how all those tables interact. But based on how the truck runs and seeing what changes make it do we have an idea of how to use them. From what I understand, throttle base is for how much fuel at what level of the...

L5P will barely start, then die Please Help

I think the high fuel pressure is a result of something else being off. Not a direct issue. Things like a bad coolant or intake temperature sensor can cause higher then normal pressure. Same for little fuel making it into the cylinders causing the ECM to demand more fuel and thus fuel pressure...

Based on the safety data sheet, it looks like a really good cleaner/stripper containing Sodium Metasilicate as it's active ingredient

    Wrecked LBZ Frame Swap

Yeah, as Tom said. Only time we usually tell someone their crazy or not worth it is if they don't have the knowledge, money or time to do it, or do it right. We are pretty realistic here with what can be done. But you are also going to be taking to a bunch of die hard modders and performance...

    Allison 1000 5 speed rebuild

Get ahold of one of the vendors here (https://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/#candy-store-duramax-parts-and-services-from-trus.46). Several can supply you with whatever you need and provide support. Or depending on where you are you can maybe drive to one of them and they might be able to do it

A few minutes in a solution of lye (sodium hydroxide) will clean that right up. Then some spray paint and it will look as good as new Yours needs to go in a bonfire to burn off all that carbon 🤣 Actually, it's not too uncommon for the TDI crowd to clean their intakes with fire. I did it to...

    Battery Issues

You might want to use a battery tender when you're not using the truck. Three years is somewhat typical. Yes many get more, myself included. I just get whatever fits from the cheapest selection at AutoZone. Haven't cared to see who makes the battery. But I'm probably averaging 5 years. Heat...
