    Duramax powered Colorado

That's a lot of work to get it to fit. Firewall and transmission tunnel all chopped up, plus the frame strengthening. Fun project for sure but isn't a firewall modification illegal to be street driven? Correct me if I'm wrong.

    CAT tools

Use a pipe wrench. I rebuild cylinders at work. If it's the flat style fab up a piece of plate and use bolts that fit in the hole. Then weld up a bar to that plate.

Drop tires height back to stock or go up to 4.10 gears

The reason it sucked for you is because you have a 5 speed. IMO, 4.56 is for 37" tires is better on the 6 speed and 4.11 for the 5 speed for daily driving. I'm running on stock gearing on my 37's, I have to leave it in 5th for highway driving unless I'm in the mode for driving 75 or more. 4.56...

    Inj pulse width

Hmm. It's kinda weird because I can actually feel it when it starts up. It does it off and on but most of the time when it has been sitting for over 5 hours.

    LLY: 2006 LLY Advice

Not really, they're the same as the LBZ. You better upgrade the steering system for a straight center link with that lift of yours. I went through enough and went to the kryptonite. Just recently changed the steering box to a red head and it was a day and night difference between an adjusted...

    Inj pulse width

What does that mean if it does go away as it builds pressure? I always get 70-80 psi during cold start up.

    Inj pulse width

I'm curious what happens when the injector pulse width is too low at idle area. Also how many mpa does it usually run at idle? Couldn't find any info about this. I've been experiencing a weird rattle that only happens for 2 second upon initial start up. Been that way for years, never could...

    Slow response 1st gear...Issues?

Did it do the same issue in both 2 & 4wd on a boosted launch?

Pro and cons for dropping to 3.42 gears

X2. I barely can break 18 mpg all highway doing 65 on my 37's.

    Killed a LBZ last night.

You sure your cousin doesn't have the 06 LLY? I've seen a LBZ and a LMM tied up pretty much. The 06 LLY stock against the LMM doesn't stand a chance.

    Slow response 1st gear...Issues?

Did you have the tune checked out if there is a torque management limiting it in 1st gear?

    Hmmmmm

That's why I said building a set of uca & lca is the best way to go for clearance issue and better suspension travel. There are plenty of off road shops than can build a set. James, does any of the uca cones with high angle ball joints like CST sell? I've been trying to find more info about...

Picked up a 2015 Chevy High Country

Is it me or the wheel wells are smaller now? Looks awesome BTW!

    coloant temp fluctuation (cold weather)

Make sure it's not the lower radiator hose leaking at the Tee. I had mine leak which I originally thought it was a water pump but turned out to be the lower radiator hose shrinking when it was cold and expand back to normal and seal when it gets warm.

    Hmmmmm

I'm on the same page as well. I originally considered using the kryptonite UCA and the soon to be coming LCA with the coil over shocks. However after some inspections and measurements, it seem to be better to find someone (or yourself if you have the skills) to build a set of UCA and LCA to 2"...

    Remote start

My automate remote start works just perfect. Had it since I bought the truck in 08, never had any issues. Starts it up after the wait to start is off. High idle also works, I leave the high idle option on whenever the weather is cold. Turn off the high idle when it's warm enough.

    questionable mpg

Mud tires are a killer in mpg. I saw a 1.5 mpg drop when I switched from MT ATZ to the Nitto Trail Grappler. Another factor was I went up 3" more in the tire size and I still drive the same. If you want better mpg, switch over to a street friendly AT tires. It takes a lot of tuning and patience...

    Trans cooler setups

Does the aftermarket fan clutch consume more fuel since it creates more work on the engine at idle and through out the driving rpm range?
