    My Morimoto Projector Retrofit.

Yeah I was talking to you! I figured it wasn't the projector housing that was causing the issue. To me, IMO, it seems to be poor quality ballast and bulbs. Have you tried using the original housing first with the morimoto them try switching over to the mini housing to see the difference? I...

    My Morimoto Projector Retrofit.

I'm curious why did you change to the mini projector housing instead of keeping the original projector housing and use the morimoto HID? I'm in the same position although I found a set of H1 led hid setup that will fit in the original projector housing. It's made in Australia for $200. Not sure...

Aw man. I would grab that in a heartbeat if it were a 6 speed. I'm barely on this site and I miss out the good deals :(

    New brakes!

Raybestos and Napa sells the same identical rotors as the AC Delco I picked up. It was cheaper to get the AC Delco special duty rotors through Amazon. I believe all 3 brand name rotors are made by the same company which is probably Raybestos. Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the rotors and...

    New brakes!

I had an air vacuum brake bleeder that I picked up from Harbor Freight. It comes with a bottle to fill the reservoir, what I liked about that was it has a valve to adjust the flow to the reservoir. Less mess that way and works good. It was about 35 bucks at a local store. Worth every dollar.

    New brakes!

Yep, Mike got the right part numbers. I used AC Delco front and rear rotors but used EBC pads all around. I'm not too worried about the dusting part, my rims are black. I wasn't sure if the AC Delco durastop ceramic would perform good as the EBC, hence the reason I went with the EBC yellowstops.

    New brakes!

Today was a beautiful day to work on my truck. I've been pushing it off for a bit too long and finally found the time to get it done. My brake fluid was overdue for a flush, fluid was black like engine oil. It had a spongy pedal after I did a hydroboost flush last month when I changed out my...

    Duramax with a 4L80E

If you can handle your foot once you put a duramax in, you'll be okay with the 4L80. Not many people can control their feet once they feel the torque of a diesel. Hell, most of us love how hard a diesel can bury us in the seat once they experience a performance tune. Pretty hard not to do it often.

    97 5.7 chevy

Swapping out a 5.7 is easy as cake in those truck. Those 5.7 are all over the place now and fairly cheap to get. Saw a few for 300 bucks not too long ago when I was getting the idea of putting one in my ZR2 blazer. The most common leak I see on those engine are the main seals and valve covers...

    Rare parts extreme duty pitman

Steering box is a day and night difference. I took a beating on it this weekend by getting stuck in mud pits, still works like new and keeps it straight. You can exchange your Moog non HD to an HD version by paying the price difference of what you paid for your non HD. Mine was only a 50...

    RCD Lift

They're good lifts. Pretty good quality and very sturdy. I've hit big rocks on my sub frame and didn't make a dent on it. I've taken a beating on my suspension and the lift is holding up very well. However, the RCD sway bar end links keep breaking bolts off if you give it some extreme...

    Finally got over the hump

Congrats James! I think 800 is the perfect spot for all around daily driver from towing to desert runner without breaking everything on the truck. :thumb:

Couple new additions to my LBZ

Funny how this thread revived. James and I have been talking about this lately and I came across a set of airbags that will fit our setup. Ben, are you running the 1T19L-11 bag or smaller?

    Rare parts extreme duty pitman

What Moog pitman arm do you have? I recently changed out my k6554 Moog arm and upgraded to the K6554HD version. I took the old one back to the auto part store and had them change it to the HD style, just had to pay the price difference for the upgraded style. The HD seems to work well so far.

    LLY: 2006 LLY Advice

I'm fairly certain that using stock centerlink actually flex under heavy boost in 4wd especially with large tires. One of the reason I went with Kryptonite. Another reason is that stock tie rod ends will wear out faster. Kryptonite uses Moog tie rod ends but they are 20% larger so it is meant to...

    LBZ: Added a camper shell

Looks good. I just got my new one on last week. Looks better than my old one. I'll have to post an update of my truck sometimes this year.

    Duramax powered Colorado

If they didn't cut the firewall, then I better start looking for a crew cab colorado! I've always wanted one bagged and laid down. Since the tunnel has to be cut to fit, it would be perfect to do a body drop on it. But I would stick with a 4l85e since it's light enough to handle it.
