There is a temp sensor in the passenger side exhaust manifold but it is labeled as an EGR valve temp sensor position 1.

Fuel pressure regulator #2 was the problem. Never threw a code for it but when it would act up the voltage would stay at 4.51V. while idling, should be around 4-3.90.
Certainly something I'll check out. The dual tank system on the duramax has had issues since the LB7.
Did more testing today. The truck acts like its running out of fuel. It will run for about 5 seconds max, die, and then reduced power. Also only seems to have the problem when the truck...
That seems to be the case with this OS. I made some drastic changes in the normal part throttle shift tables with no change in shifting. I'll post the info I get back from HPTuner.

Have a trouble ticket in with HPT to try and sort this out. Sent them two data logs, one in normal shift mode and the other in tow haul. Big difference in shift points even though the tables are identical in the tune.

Haven’t found any new info about this. Externally they look the same, not sure about the electronics or converter to flex plate differences. Haven’t had 2017 and up Allison apart yet.

Can a 2016 LML transmission be made to work in a 2018 L5P? Have a fresh built 2016 LML transmission, customer backed out. Understand the input shaft and converter are different. Anything else need changing or not possible? Thanks.
