A friend here swapped a S472 with 100% over injectors in his l5p

I originally wanted to put the Danville turbo in my truck but when I talked to LinCo Diesel last July they had paused selling them because of the oil usage. https://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/threads/l5p-drop-in-turbos.86850/
I ended up getting away from my original plan to keep the truck on stock fuel and put in a S472. The only time it can't keep it clean during normal driving is when I'm in 6th and it doesn't want to downshift on the highway, but I'm also on 35s. Can't comment on tow performance yet, supposed to move my dad's boat this weekend though.

They are badass trucks but not that bad! They still are not a substitute for the aftermarket parts.

I know, Shane.....but the more that guys advertise "1000hp on stock bottom" the more apt its going to happen. Trust me, it will.

I do wish you could put the heads on the older trucks. It would be nice if someone would make a casting to fit like an LBZ and machined for lbz injectors

I did not know this. I thought there was a thread about it somewhere and someone said the bolt patterns wouldnt line up. I’ll have to go back and find the thread and read through it.

Banks has one controlled by a third party controller with LMM turbo and fuel system.

Banks also makes their own ECU so they can do pretty much whatever they want.



You can run a L5P on LBZ/LMM electronics, Ken had a post on it awhile back.
