    Leaking coolant

    What part of the head is it leaking from? We see it mis diagnosed all the time. Usually it's the turbo coolant house, thermostat tube seal or the orange o-ring in rear cover. Only seen one head gasket leak externally and it was from rust & corrosion.

    You can be vary consistent racing with a Allison. It just has to be a dedicated race truck. In my opinion once you're within .05 of a second in 5.90 it all becomes luck.

    Good clutches are hard to get. We horded a bunch of carbonites and waffles just for comp builds.

    Fuelab, Fleece, or Airdog Raptor with stock filter would be my vote. FACTORY FILTERS work just fine.

    GM has changed packaging on fuel filters and glow plugs recently. I believe it's cause of the Chinese knock offs on the market. Ebay and Amazon are flooded with them.

    The newer the tcm the smarter it is. We fought that with the a40 tcm. It plans its shifts way to early in a high hp application. It will defuel until it sees what it wants to make the shift. More power you put to it the longer the defuel is. Also there's tables in the 6 speed tcm that efi...

    Problem is everyone thinks they have a race truck and listen to idiots on Facebook groups that never had anything fast. In some applications trans tuning is a must. We had to do a lot with the 6 speed tcm. But agreed that 98% don't need it.

    If staying with a 2500hd keep the duramax. Holds value better, way better milage, and great power. I recently bought a f150 ecoboost for a daily. I love it. Tows decent.
