    I don’t think so. That should only be a single wire on the parking brake itself. If no codes of course. And I think only other thing is brake fluid level switch that will turn park brake light on with no codes. I could be wrong though.

    So did you ask about piston to bore clearance seems loose or piston to wrist pin? I think I keep confusing myself when I read this. Not enough coffee yet. I’ll ask around some people that know of or have had issues. Only 16 I had issue with was pushrod broke where cup and shaft are mated.

    I’d be thinking more so venting issue. Not to get far off topic or thread steal from what you are asking but I had an L5P not too long ago come in for a fuel gauge concern and the driver side of fuel tank had been sucked inward. Vent line was full of fuel.

    If you jumped it and it started smoking or getting hot then I’d think something is shorted to ground. If you replace fuses do they blow immediately? How did you jump circuits for starter check? The amperage a starter draws is quite a bit and will cause other circuits to overheat if you jumped...

    At key on if there is the message even before cranking then I’d think there is something electrical going on. May want to check around to make sure you didn’t leave anything unplugged. Someone you know have a scan tool that could swing by and read codes?
