Bay Area
Everyone is describing the same situations that are happening all over. The panic that’s in people and how they react due to fear and stress settling in on them. They’ve given basic instruction on what to do and how to protect yourselves. Nowhere did the CDC say stock up on toilet paper, etc. But being in the Bay Area, it’s starting to become mad house. People fighting, arguing, is really annoying. I could rant a ton but not needed.

But as far as the 2 horses, 4 dogs, and woman and I we are all healthy and prepared in our own sane way. Stay safe everyone. Hope the panic settles down so we can get back to normal methodical living.

Schools closed for 3 weeks here

Our wonderful governor mentioned shutting down for the rest of the school year here now.

People are acting like idiots across the board. Went and got some groceries yesterday and it’s sad honestly. Common sense goes a long way and I guess people lack it.

All restaurants are closed down. Take outs only.
Bars are shut down
Bowling leagues are done
Zoo is shut down
Casinos are closed

There are confirmed cases of it in my city now.

The solution to it all. Quit watching the damn news!

Rant over. Back to work.

Wisconsin schools are closed for ~3 weeks. In the fox valley area I couldn't buy toilet paper or ground beef/chicken but yet pork butts are still here. Sams Club, Costco, Walmart, Festival and Pick-n-Save are all barren wastelands. Friend of ours took a photo inside of a local Woodman's grocery store and there was food on the floor like people were scrambling for it. It's only going to get worse in larger communities as people panic.

It's so gracious of the Demorats to mandate 2 weeks paid time off in the Corona Virus Relief Bill. I wonder where my employees file for thier money?

Thats the big question, how do people get paid from that? They can't expect the business owner to front load the cash and wait for reimbursement.

If anyone is out of work in Ohio unemployment has been moved to a immediate status. There is no wait.

This is what we were told so not sure.

Pretty much the same up here. Bunch of panicky idiots buying up all the asswipe. Don’t bother with the canned goods rice and other non perishables but asswipe. Gotta have it.

Lots of conspiracy shit out there about why and who that pertains to the virus. I don’t buy into any of it. Just go to work while I can and do my thing till I can’t.

Yep same shit is going on here. I will say one thing though the world will never be the same place it was pre coronavirus. To some extent this will be the new normal. Just look at how this have changed since we where kids. It’s to dangerous for young kids to be outside alone (in the city), and every little storm is a major world ending storm.

Update... Found out that the 2 weeks employee pay is a "tax credit" and can be deducted from the business' quarterly IRS filing. If a business doesn't have the money, you can file with the IRS and they will deposit money from previous IRS quarterly deposits back in the company's bank account.

Went to Home Depot to pick up some wire, people ransacked the shelves of TP there too. Wife said Sam's Club was pretty slim pickings. Pretty sad what people think is necessary

you have to have been medically proven you had the virus to collect and get 2 weeks off.... Unlike welfare.... :roflmao:

I actually thought i might have had it. Flew into Spokane, Washington, then drove to Idaho for a buddies bachelor party (snowmobiling, snow boarding and lots of liquid liberations). Came back home and by the following weekend, fever, cough, hard time breathing, etc. Finally broke the fever that monday morning but by tuesday, i was still laid up. Never been that sick before. Went in to the ER Tuesday and got tested for Corona and Flu as well as EKG and all that junk since i was very dizzy (could not stand without falling over) and hard of breathing/tight chest. Everything came back good other than i had Influenza A and pneumonia. Shit kicked my ass for the rest of the week and finally started getting better the following week.

Luckily, my 1 year old and 4 year old never got it (i stayed separated from the fam the whole time) nor did my wife. There is 9 confirmed cases here. Wife asked if she should maybe go stock up on some things since we didnt have much in the house and might be a while before stores have more. I wasnt really wanting to buy into it but eventually i agreed. She went out and just as everyone else has said, shelves are cleared off at 90% of the stores. She got plenty of stuff for us but the damn line was an hour long wait. Costco was 2.5 hour wait in line.

Shes a teacher and their spring break started this week. Peoria Unified initially said they would not close after spring break.... then the dumb ass CDC releases a letter and all the districts start reading what they WANT to read. it states in there that the CDC recommends that the schools close for 8-20 weeks ONLY IF the school has had a confirmed corona case BUT that this method has not been proven to stop the spread of the virus from what has been seen in china. Everyone took that as "shit, CDC wants us to close our schools!" so the districts started signing a petition to have the gov shut the schools down..... :banging: So all schools in phx are on a 2 week spring break at this point.

Business wise, this aint gunna be good with everyone going full retard but we will make it through as we have done before.

As of yesterday morning, Bashas was reasonable. I’ve heard Sprouts, Whole Foods, and probably AJ’s are, too.

PA is definitely going full retard and closing liquor stores. (The state runs all liquor stores in PA because we are still stuck in the 1930s.)

I think this has been here for a few months already. Lots of my wife's nurse customers said the flu was killing so many elderly patients this year and they've never seen anything like it. Stay sanitary my friends!

After going to the store for normal Sunday groceries today, I can say that I am embarrassed to be an American citizen right now. People are unbelievably uneducated, rude and selfish and take a me-first attitude toward anything that changes their lifestyle, not to mention the scared ones....holee shiot.

Wash your hands, cover your cough, keep person-to-person contact to a minimum, keep out of large groups and IGNORE everything the MSM is telling you for the next few months until the scare passes. Use-common-sense. Its not difficult.

Sorry for the rant. Nothing makes me angry like people acting like a-holes.

Hope all is well in the Lovrich home, Mike.
This past week has truly shown how much people are like sheep. Dang media isn't helping anything!

My work is setting up a tent and will be taking temperatures before ea employee comes in the building. Starting tomorrow. Should be a fun wait at 400am when we have over 400 people that work at my facility.
Are schools are closed for 2 weeks and looking to go to 8 weeks and they just closed down all restaurants to walk in customers and no movies or places like that.
