    Differential hub temp ??????

Double check if the brakes are not sticking. That can affect the hub temperature. I've had a sticking caliper made my hub smoking hot and the rim was 275 degrees.

    Aftermarket factory-appearing Duramax block

This is definitely a feasible option that most of us would take for building the engine. If the L5P doesn't have the broken crank issue as the older generation does, then this is the way I would definitely take as well as many others.

    Tight reach

Get this. http://www.ezred.com/product/5-pc-extra-long-flex-head-spline-ratcheting-wrench-set/ I have a set in metric and standard. That tool never broke once on me and I'm not easy on tools. I've broken many snap on tools that the salesman has never seen anyone break. I got my set through...

Semi hybrid? How does that work?

    New Silverado Picture

I was thinking exactly the same. The original body lines looks goofy but once it's stretched out with fiberglass fenders, it'll look sweet. Can't wait to see what the desert guys are going to build it for a prerunner. How about 16" of travel :D

    Air bag front suspension

Thanks James. Do you think the tubes would benefit more clearance than the boxed or is it not much of a difference between the two, that if you have seen both designs.

    Air bag front suspension

Hmm.... Which djm lca would but best for my setup I plan to have, the 6" drop lca or the 3" drop lca? If I do go with the 3" drop lca, it looks like I can use the cognito tube style uca to gain clearance for the bags. 6" drop has to use their uca with the lca for alignment purposes, not sure if...

    Air bag front suspension

Funny. I was just looking at the djm lca and thinking the same exact thing. Looks like double convulated bags are better than the sleeve type for the front. Down side is not much suspension travel in case I get into a rough patch of the road.

    Air bag front suspension

Thank for your input Tim. My goal was to have the bags adjusted to ride height to where the CV are level when I drive but lower it whenever I want to at low speed cruising and parking which shouldn't hurt the CVs. I don't do offroading on this truck, the only time I use my 4wd is when I'm on...

    Air bag front suspension

That's almost like a cantilever system. I've thought about it but wondered what the ride would be like, probably be pretty bouncy unless I run a set of very stiff shocks. But the thing is I want to get rid of the torsion bar braket as well for a cleaner frame laying looks. Unless I build a new...

    Air bag front suspension

It does seem that's the best way but in reality it's not. The UCA ball joints are not designed to carry full front end weight. It's more of a floating design since it does not carry weight. Those ball joints are going to kill fast in a hurry with that much weight on it.

    Air bag front suspension

I'll make it work. Anything is possible, it can be done. Just need to figure out how to set it up, which I may have an idea now. Definitely not setting anything up on the UCA. I don't want to replace ball joints more than I should be.

    Air bag front suspension

I already looked into that and it's out of the question because it won't carry the weight of our diesel setup, I just discussed this with James to verify if it'll support the weight.

    Air bag front suspension

Probably a long shot on here but I know that there are a few of you running bagged setups. I haven't found a good source what are you guys running for the front setup in air bag suspensions.... as in slammed trucks, frame laid to the ground. I've always wanted a lowrider for the next truck. As...
