    Rolled my truck.

    Air bags and the SDM or air bag module do not swap from 1500’s to HD’s. 1500’s are dual stage and HD are single stage. Cabs and doors are the same. Obvious cluster difference. Not sure if in the year ranges there was any changes to the frequency signal from the fobs (RCDLR).

    Newbie rescues an LB7

    As stated, figure out the noise first while the truck is still together. Pin point to most likely source then tear down. Grab a stethoscope and probe around. Depending on what you find it could cost you very little, or a lot.

    4L60E diagnostic help

    The resistance of the solenoid itself should be 10-15 ohms. You can also supply power and ground to the solenoid directly with pan off and solenoid out. Put power to circuit with red wire and momentarily touch other circuit to ground. Should hear and feel a click.

    You can order injectors from any source you want to. Just make sure they are an actual authorized dealer for the product. Just in case there is an issue and something needs to be warrantied. Also pick a place that has great customer service. Which is harder to come across these days

    I believe dmax store lists the blocks part number that GM had in their performance catalog. And as far as I know when I last checked that block is not available. Unless dmax store bought some units when it was available

    LB7: SAC-style Injector Life

    The durability and longevity of this has been most promising. I’ve had SAC45 on my list for when the time comes. But, it’s been 11 years and only 55k miles on my last set of stock VCO’s and they are still good.

    Probably cause this chip shortage will last longer than anyone is led on to believe and they hope by that time people will just forget about it. Cause yes, it would be a mess having all these customers scheduled to have their accessories added on when it does become available.

    So instead of how things use to be, it is no longer a steering column harness. Now it is part of the entire instrument panel harness! So yeah you are going about it the best route.

    I’m going to check today if there is a steering column harness available or if a person will always have to overlay an added circuit to make this work.
