    2012 GMC 2500HD 6.0l battery drain

Hey I'm working on a work truck that has consistent had battery drain and I'm tasked to figure the issue out. With the negative cable unhooked from the batter and a MM in-between with the key off and out and doors shut there is a 2.79amp draw. I've pulled every fuse there is, I found: #42 RDO...

    Shudder in 6th gear

Never ending this truck is. Noticed lately when in 6th gear with the cruise control set and rpms around 16-1800 I'm getting a slight shudder. If I select 'M' and force it to 5th gear it goes away. Brand new Limitless 1078 installed about 18 months ago with around 10,000km put on it. No boosted...

    Lighting Bolt VGT solenoid

It probably works great if your stock solenoid is almost wore out. Same sort of effect like when you upgrade to Bilstein 5100s and you think they are the bomb, but really your stock shocks are bitched

I sure like my slip on (no lace) Redwings with the gore-tex liner. Good traction, light, warm.

Replacing Torsion bars and Leaf Springs

Yep Mines 4x4. That is strange, mine isn't a z71 but I'm doubting that has anything to do with it.

Replacing Torsion bars and Leaf Springs

Just got off the phone with Dorman tech support. The guy said the one with the spacers should be their updated one and recommended using the spacers out of my stock leafs for the new one without vs taking them out altogether.

Replacing Torsion bars and Leaf Springs

I guess I never thought about using the center pin that's in my stock leafs. Funny thing is the picture of the product on Dormans website shows no metal spacers between the leafs or the plastic sliders near the ends either go figure, and it's identical to the one.

Replacing Torsion bars and Leaf Springs

Just measured it, each metal spacer is 1/8" thick for the 1st 3 leafs and the last one is 1/16". There is only 1/2" of threads on the top where the nut is. If I were to try and put the ones off my stock ones in I'd only beable to maybe get the nut on for 1 thread, I don't think it'll work...

Replacing Torsion bars and Leaf Springs

Haha that one smells freshly painted and doesn't have a sticker on it. The one without the spacers has the Dorman sticker on it. I wonder if I should take them spacers out? Not sure what to do.
