Inglewood will definitely be my next one but I can say my PPE Stage V without billet internals has held up to the abuse from my mods in sig since 2014.
Those 35s add alot of stress to the trans when tuned. I lifted mine 4-6" lift with 22s and 35s I think I made it 2 months then the torque converter started to slip.
After everyone's replies here and some good discussion at bobistheoilguy I've concluded AGM for my use won't do anything other than empty my wallet by an extra $250 to go with Delco AGm over flooded. Picked up 2 Delco 48GHR 770CCAs for $450CND.
As your mechanic what it would cost if you supplied the headstuds, gaskets and coolant yourself then order a headgasket kit from Lincolndiesel.
My quote went from 8k to $3500-4000.
Time for new batteries again. Factory Delcos made it 6 years and I replaced because they we getting weak with another set of Delcos 770cca. These are currently 8 years and it's time to change again.
I'm looking at putting in Canada proof batteries I hear they are pretty good either the GH6AGM...
Depends on where the leak is. Mine blew a hole in the bottom of my blocked and turned off egr valve. Never made any noise but egts were definitely higher. Buy a kit or build your own to test is like $10
Have you thoroughly checked your truck for boost leaks? The bottom of the egr valve likes to crack and blow a hole in it. Any kind of a leak will bring up egts pretty good.
I agree with Chevy1925 , I love my diesel to death but for what I've put into it I could have paid for 2 trucks. If I wasn't an enthusist I'd be out of the diesel game right now. The cost of purchasing and maintaining a diesel vs gas of same truck is ALOT of fuel you can by with a tenth of the...
I've ran 12-1300f egts for many many miles on the hiway for years and my truck still runs great. As long as it's under 1300f I wouldn't worry about imo.
We took every fuse out including the main board under the hood and reassembled. So far so good, maybe we fixed the issue without realizing it who knows. Going to let it sit for a week and see if it starts.
That's what I'm thinking the radio and gauge cluster won't go into sleep mode.
I've narrowed it down to a select few that are drawing amps.
Started out at 2.79amps
Removes RDO fuse down to 1.8amps
Removed Gauge cluster 1.5 amps
Removed HVAC Control cluster 1.3amps
Removed LBEC 1, LBEC 2, and...
