Built trans question
Hard saying man. My old 02 lb7 ran an everyday tune @548 and had built trans installed @ 150k. The truck now has over 200k and had went thru 1 water pump. The rev limiters on the truck seen well into 4k so its hard saying. I know some people have absolute shit luck with em and others not so much.- Bonestock

LLY: 2005 Allison 1000 in limp mode
Boy you sure could have caused some internal damage running it low or out of fluid. I had a similar problem @ one point myself running too big of tuning on stock trans and popped those codes. Was there alot of residue build up on the magnets? There should have been 1 in the spin on filter...- Bonestock

Wtf frozen again?!
Just got done thawing out my dads lly. His would start and then after 5 min would blow the fuse on his lift pump. Lol never had an issue @ 40-50 psi. Actually required that for my def ass to hear. I could see if there were not any leaks but hell compound trucks run by 40-50 all day.- Bonestock

How did you test for boost leaks? The factory y bridge on Lmm are prone to blowing the orings which will give you the exact problem you are describing. Just to make sure if you can un hook compressor side intercooler pipe and hook up a boost test grommet and put a regulated 40-50 psi on it. You...- Bonestock

I would do anything before a lilly. Cooling system issues overheating issues have seen more head gasket jobs on 120k -150k on lilly than any of the others. Problem is even studs fresh heads and gaskets you still have an overheating pos until that gets addressed lb7 lbz lmm lml way better choices.- Bonestock

Surging when off the throttle?
What is your rail psi @ idle? Good chance your fuel psi regulator is showing its age. What you can do if you have efi to try and get you by for awhile is go into the tuning and adjust the 1st 3 tables of the fuel psi current. I went like 1575, 1475, 1375 and it has fixed my regulater for now...
