    Info: Something I've noticed

I don't bother, whenever I'm at my destination, I turn it off. Engineering, metallurgy and oils have come a long ways in the last 20 years, it'll be fine. Plus, I find it weird to allow a vehicle to dictate how long I stay in it, before turning it off or wasting $$ idling it.

    Body mount part numbers

Frankly, I think the poly rides better than OEM; BUT, there's increased engine vibrations at idle - enough that sometimes interior panels (my passenger door rattles). However, take my recommendation with a grain of salt, as we both know: ride quality is an individual perspective that differs...

    Any SWAG?

Likely a grounding or voltage issue; the ground is located on the front driver side cab mount if you want to check and make sure it's tight and on bare metal. During high electrical loads, e.g., glow plugs, headlights, grid heater on at night and you switch to 4x4 you can sometimes causes a code...

    Yaw rate sensor location

2009 single-wheel CCSB is when they started stabilitrak on the duramax (in higher end models). The yaw rate sensor is located under the passenger seat from then until the 2015 then, it was implemented into the EBCM if memory serves. The one in the steering wheel is the steering positions sensor.

Ike towing test - Gm does it again

I wished they data logged each truck and compared sensor data, it would be interesting to know what's going on with temperatures, limiters, dpf status, etc., etc., while climbing - however, this would probably be worthless data to the average truck buyer/owner without giving an in-depth...

    Custom Cat twin Filter setup

I wonder if the brushes wore out like mine. Yeah, I would have warrantied it; but it bothers me putting something back in I know will fail. They're okay for racing, but just not built to the duty requirements of daily driving in my opinion...

    Transfer case issue

Meh, besides he puts some fancy paint on them and uses factory parts and a pump rub kit claims they're "built". I wouldn't mess with him.

    Transfer case issue

Well, if it's the bearing; it won't be a bad job, 2hrs or so. However, if the machined surface of the case half is damaged, you'll need a new case half. At this point, I'm pretty much guessing as to what it could be from my experience - hard to say 100% without taking the case apart and taking...

    Transfer case issue

My guess would be the output shaft bearing machined surface and the bushing is wore. I'd check the driveshaft balance too, once I figured out what's wrong with the case internally.

    Custom Cat twin Filter setup

Yeah, I use a fuelab now, iirc 40402 model. I didn't think of a bypass when I had the holley on, cost me a tow lol.:happy2:

    Custom Cat twin Filter setup

Be careful with that one. I just had mine go out on me - either the seal weep hole got clogged and allowed diesel into the motor and it disintegrated the brushes or they flat out disintegrated on their own. It isn't flow through either.

    LLY: Sway Bar Bushings/Endlinks

3.5213 is what I bought for mine and they fit perfectly, 4x4 as well.

    How do cooled seats work?

Denali HD's between 11-15 and LTZ silverado HD's (12 or 13)-15 are 100% peltier cooled. 15.5+ GM changed the literature to ventilated seats and I didn't pay attention the last time I was in one to tell if they're still peltier(however, other members have said they are on other forums). If the...

    How do cooled seats work?

They're 100% peltier elements in the GM cooled seats. Here's the one of them (there's two). You can't add a larger fan as you can see and if you could, you'd likely cause the control module to fault. They're monitored by the seat climate module under the passenger seat. The blower blows across...

    LLY: Body Mounts

Also, I changed the cab mounts first; so I drove around a few weeks with just those being poly, prior to changing everything else - they still increased road noise, but the biggest NVH effect came from changing the control arms, sway bar and leaf springs to poly.

    LLY: Body Mounts

Here's my posts from another thread about poly mounts: I've had em for around a year or so and like them. But I also have every rubber bushing or mount replaced with poly. The only rubber that remains are the engine mounts and transmission mounts. Never squeaks at all - and mine are even the...

That and I'm betting some of the changes to the emissions controls allows a bit more fueling down low without creating excessive soot.

LBZ: Synthetic lube for transfer case

Autotrak fluid here, but that's because I have a custom 246 :D If you check your fluid at a decent interval, I'd run a synthetic ATF or TC fluid. If not the motor oil won't harm anything - It MAY{(I haven't studied motor oil vs ATF effects on clutch material) and if anyone has, please feel free...

    Pitman arm

X2 on the Rare Parts pitman. I use that, the Highroller idler arm and Cognito centerlink and tie-rod package - steers wonderfully and launches straight every time.
