2009 single-wheel CCSB is when they started stabilitrak on the duramax (in higher end models). The yaw rate sensor is located under the passenger seat from then until the 2015 then, it was implemented into the EBCM if memory serves.

The one in the steering wheel is the steering positions sensor.

I think starting in 2012 it was integrated into the SDM (airbag module)??

The EBCM houses the longitudinal accelerometer/sensor.

ESC was introduced on all 2009 HD short bed models, that covers both extended cab and crew cab [short bed]. It was never "optional", the trucks either had it standard (if a short bed) or it was not available at all.
