    CP4 Failure... WTH

You could stand on the tire and reach it easily. I stand on my tires to wash the windshied even, makes it easy to reach the middle part of the truck when needed. I agree with AZlml that a lift pump won't guarantee the CP4 survives. It does make bleeding the fuel system easier, but the only time...

    Duramax Suburban Value

Pbk0t3Ma9GE I think I know who the owner of that one is. If it is who I am thinking of, he bought my brother's Quadrasteer pickup several years ago, and tried to buy our Quadrasteer Suburban too (we turned him down, I'll probably never sell it). If this Duraburb was his rig, it will be VERY...

    Anyone got wireless air bags?

If you're willing to be a little... unconventional, something like this could work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CPYWVCT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_4834CbDYZQT91 Just add a standard tire Schrader valve to the tank side and to the bag side of the solenoid, and Bob's your uncle! Potential downside...

    Duramax Suburban Value

Depends on how you drive it, but it's possible. I got 22.2 MPG with my Duraburb once, but it was all highway and I was going slow (65 MPH), plus I have stock tires and the 6 speed conversion. It gets 16+ easily and 18+ without too much effort. A RCSB is lighter than a Suburban, which will help...

    Duramax Suburban Value

I agree that a Duraburb is not a great financial decision, but they are really freaking awesome. I say this as the owner of a 2003 LB7 Quadrasteer 6-speed AWD Suburban. Best vehicle I have ever owned or even ridden in, but hard to justify the cost to a bank when getting a loan. They are more...

    Racing the 05’

Good times, congrats! I hope to be out for the midnight drags on June 8. I'd be willing to shoot some high speed video of a launch for you, if the track lights are bright enough for my camera to cooperate.

    Homemade electric chainsaw

X2 I build a bunch of stuff I could easily buy, just to see if I can, and to learn. Even a failed idea can be a learning experience. And if you have the time and money, it is often more fun to learn by trying than to learn from a book or a class.

    Homemade electric chainsaw

The connection would also need a DC 12V signal to create the magnetic field in the rotor. Without that, it won't spin, since it isn't a permanent magnet motor. I wonder if you varied the strength of the field if you could vary the power output? Might cause issues since it will need to stay...

    Twins with Twins, Anyone?

I think he's saying the exhaust will be reinforced to keep turbine parts inside the pipe, not flailing about the boat where they can injure people. Putting the throttle blades (air shutoff) as close to the Y-bridge as possible maximizes the chance it will still be able to shut down the engine...

White smoke from tailpipe after idle

While you are working on it, having a compression test and leakdown test done might be a good idea. That way you know there are no compression/ring/valve issues.

White smoke from tailpipe after idle

I'd go back to them and have them give you another set. That's the kind of results I've seen from "reman" injectors from shady companies. And if the dealer managed to beat the price Lincoln Diesel quoted you, there's a good chance they aren't OEM injectors. Who did the install?

    LBZ Connector

That looks like the C100. The GMT800 gas trucks had the C100 as well, and mostly the same pins. You can run to a junkyard and cut one out of a gas truck, and splice that on. Or even just pull the pins out and only have to splice the ones that are broken. The connector housing is hard to find...

    Intermittent soft brakes

If the brakes are soft after bleeding properly, and there is no loss of fluid, it's almost certainly the master cylinder. The one on my truck went out sometime around 300k miles. A new one is $75, but I was cheap/dumb and got one from a junkyard for like $15. Still working, so maybe not too dumb...

    LLY: New to fourm

Welcome! Those parts will make it run much stronger than stock, but you're going to be limited on tuning with the PPE box tuner. But since you appear to have stock turbo, injectors, and CP3, it should be close to what an EFILive tune would do. And it will be more than enough to hurt a stock...

    Oil cooling

I'll be keeping an eye out for that to try on my truck later this summer. I picked up some temperature sensors and wiring, so I'll be able to report how much it helps. But of course it'll be a while. Thanks for the part numbers!

    Hung Injector??

Before I replaced my CP3 (the newer ones seem to handle ULSD just fine, so I no longer run additives), I used whatever ashless two stroke oil was cheapest. I always mixed around 500:1 (1/4 quart per tank), but up to 250:1 (1/2 quart per tank) shouldn't produce any noticeable smoke. The important...

    LB7: Glow plug Controller???

The LB7 federal tune basically won't throw codes for the glow plug or intake heater at all. I honestly don't know why they even added those feedback wires.
