It has a southbend in it I’ve been told. No lift pump either so rail pressure will likely fall off before the clutch slips. His biggest complaint right now is that it’s a turd under 2500 rpm so I’ll see what happens with my basic tune and go from there.
I see. So if I script my tune into it then all those limiters should be gone and the truck should wail. Either way it’s gotta be better than the Bully Dog in it now.
Alright then.
I’ve been told they de-tune these compared to ally trans trucks but I’ve never looked at the tuning to compare. Guess I’ll find out. Thanks y’all.
I have a buddy that wants me to huck a tune into his LBZ/ZF6. Is there anything you do different between tuning a ZF6 as opposed to an ally? I’ve never tuned a ZF6 before and wanted to check it out before I dive into it.

Also If I didn’t need the payload I would have gone to a 1500 6.2. The 1 ton I...
Definitely miss the ripping torque of my deleted lml but compared to when it was stock it’s not too much different to drive.
Have about 3500 miles on it. The truck itself is very nice. Best average empty over 400 miles is 21 mpg and it usually averages around 17 mpg on the highway. I live in...
The battery on concrete floor thing comes from way back when batteries were made of wood. The wood would absorb moisture from the concrete, warp and then leak. Since plastic was invented and used in batteries, the outside environment has no effect on them with the exception of temperature...
