The straight pipe is LOUD. Up towards 3k it gets extremely obnoxious. Just keep the stock muffler and it's actually pretty quiet. Performance is the same. Here's a video with muffler. Just lots of turbo noise, not obnoxious. Cn4YAMx6sxQ One without. Louder than a straight pipe duramax...- durallymax

The mileage for TDIs is usually well above the EPA numbers. Now we know why. The EPA numbers are established at the same time as the emissions test so mileage will likely drop closer to the estimates depending on what the refresh actually is. There are gas engines that can get great economy...- durallymax

You won't drawn any attention if you do the delete mack, just don't go to the dealer. AFAIK the deal was the 2016s would be released when VW explained. I wouldn't put it past the EPA to play hardball even further though. If the EPA really starts throwing their weight around I could see VW...- durallymax

The EPA threatened to pull the certs for the 2016 TDIs unless VW could explain. VW did, so the 2016s should be allowed out of Port now. I don't see values dropping much. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using Tapatalk- durallymax

No unless you live in a state that can withold your annual registration if you don't. Some places that require emissions testing can I guess. Otherwise, providing you avoid the dealer, it won't be installed. If you go there for anything though it's likely they would install it even without...- durallymax

There's a few tuners, mine may have some spicy tuna and a few missing parts. It rips though. Cheap fun car,got another track day in a couple weeks. Long trips at 80mph ish gets 45mpg+. Flogging it hard around town daily I still get 38mpg or so. The way the EPA explained it is piss poor...- durallymax

Crazy Duramax Engine
Biodiesel and some other similar fuels burn quicker than pump #2. Diesel pulling tractors are around that RPM on the line but IIRC many in the Super class want to go down track around 6k. Alkys run even higher RPMs and that fuel burns slow also.- durallymax
