    been lots of talk at DP and other oil places, can't use regular oil need the newest code oil for the LMM or infact any of the DPF vehicles. I'm sure the general and every other manufacture knows what to look for and will test your oil if you have problems.

    why are you short? 26.5'<28' take the ramps off and let the truck hang off the back, tires are on trailer. I put longer bars on my ramps so I can leave them at a 45* angle like Pat was talking about.

    yep more and more have 4X4 listed on the rules. if the water fits the rules I'd stay w/ it, better than hauling iron around to all the pulls all over the east coast.

    my neighbor has had one for 15-20 years, they show old 2 lunger Deeres all over the country. they used the pick up camper and set it up against the goose neck. worked for them.

    not hard to find out, put tape on all 3 flanges and turn the input, see how far the outputs turn. if the output only turns 1/2 then it's 2:1, 1/4 turn then it's 4:1. being a loader it may be anything. could even be 1:1 only since some use outboard planetaries.

    most rules don't allow 'drop boxes' which this may fall under unless you pull mod class. why not get stock transfer case and stock driveshaft so when/if you can go right back to stock?

    Anyone get anything cool for X-mas?

    I nearly got to go to hospital after thought I broke my femur. splitting wood by myself and had a 100# or so cherry knot and it shot out sideways. caught it mid thigh and knocked me down. just bruised it real good. still hurts today.

    also get rid of the 35" tires, work on the dually set up but drop down to 30" OD or something. a deeeeeeeeeeeeeep pan w/ more oil capacity is going to help keep it cooler. maybe even make an extra deep one. if you want to play and are a decent welder, add some lines to the pan to run cold...

    I ordered and already gave the wife a red kitchen aid mixer and blender, some clothes, a visit to a spa for OUR massages (she had to be topless :banana::devil:), a bluejackets game and jersey since she likes hockey now and a Fenton nativity scene. ps, also a new computer w/ a direct link...

    a lot is set up too, 4X4 guys got 1000# or more on front end, Kurt doesn't have the 4wd weight so he's got 1500-1800# sitting on rear axle, 5" higher hitch will help a lot on the short sled chain. the driver of a 4X4 is used to coming out hard so if he loses the front axle most just hammer it...
