That's a good call Travis.... since you mentioned it, I won't need that much trailer for hauling my truck either....

Best of luck Wayne. Seems to be a nice one, so shouldn't have any trouble selling it.

In a bind...

Put the pickup on and tie it down.
Put the Mule on and tie down the front only.
Lift the ramps up as high as you can get them, then chain them. Maybe 45 deg.
Tie down the rear of the mule, and red-flag/light the ramps.

52', 6 horse head to tail, 5'in front of rear horses, 4' in front of front horses. Rear loading wagon, harness cabinets for 6-up, brackets for 6-up poles. Sometimes we would load the BMW in the back if we were heading somewhere with just horses, no wagon.

Wow! Are horses another business for you all Wayne or just a hobby?

It never seizes to amaze me how much money is spent on horses. They aren't like having livestock where you breed, raise and sell or get a bi-product (milk) to sell. Only real chance that I see or know of to make much money is if you got a good line of breeding stock going, you can make some money at it, elsewise, I must be too far removed from the industry to understand it.

I typically am not crazy about horses but if money and space were plentiful, I'd love to have a nicely marked Paint just because they are so beautiful. He'd have to be a hoss though to tote my big ass around. :D

Thanks guys!

Damn. Looks like I am 2.5' short. The Mule is 124.8" (10.5') + 16' My trailer is 24' flat and 4' dove......looks like it may be time to trade on a 32' Anderson (pierced frame, w/ spread).

why are you short? 26.5'<28'

take the ramps off and let the truck hang off the back, tires are on trailer.

I put longer bars on my ramps so I can leave them at a 45* angle like Pat was talking about.

It was a "hobby" for my father. I ran the Ranch for about 6 years, we sold when my parents got divorced rather than split it all up. We have been looking recentlly for another place, and get back into it. We had Clydes. Here are a few pics.

Horses are are fun but alot of work, We use to buy and sell horses and some breeding, Started out with just 5 horses before we knew it we had 44 total, 35 paints 8 GH's, 1 Belgaim work horse couldnt let the dog food man buy her at the sale we were at talked my Grand Pop into saving her, also made it hard we raised field trail dog beagles, Had one of the biggest kennels on the east coast 150 hounds.I missed it for awhile after we got out of it then thought how in the hell did we find the time to take care of them all.

safe to say you are familiar with turbobeaglebuggy and his TurnLeft Beagles? I've got some friends that are into the field trialing Beagles. Travel up that way in the summer cause it ain't as hot as it is here so you all run more up there. My family just always had hunting hounds. I really miss them though. Thinking of getting a decent little pack for hunting with again once I get out of this duplex. :(

I seen him on the sites here and there think his name is Adam, Saw a pic of him once before and never thought about asking were he has been cause he looks like I have seen him in person at one time, We have been out of it for about 10 years now.
