Thanks for all the help guys. Since the truck is cooling good know I'm not going to worry about it. So from the comments and reading. Going to do the 4" and a small tune. I'll start a new thread latter in the year with mpg improvements if any. Towed 1500 miles getting 10.7 so I have a good...

25' camper. Probably 7 loaded down maybe. Running down highway is when it would heat up on me before I did the fan clutch. Stop and it would cool right back down. Any thing over 60 and fan runs more but stays cool. There is a guard on the front.

http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65135 Also this engine has some scoring in one cylinder. I don't think that would cause any heating issues. But so far cylinder holding up well. Still 400lbs. I just wasnt sure if the fan clutch running all the time was normal. JoshH says...

Ok thanks for all the advise. It was 101 while towing. Couldn't run AC last month because it would overheat. Bad fan clutch. So does a small tune hurt the trans or not

I've shearched all night. Still need answers. Seams like the mbrp is the best fit. But jegs is ok also. Will the 4" help cool the motor down and maybe get better mpg. Not having problems but fan engages on highway pulling load and stays engaged. Will exhaust alone give me more power...

Sounds like you know what your doing. Did you use a new copper washer under injector. Also I've read need to over torque some times. Maybe another 10 lbs. on the inj. Could also be a cracked head maybe.

    Pressure in coolant tank

you could pressure up the system and let it sit. If it looses then pull some glow plugs and see if any are wet. Also is there any condensation under the oil fill cap after its warmed up.

    2 stroke oil in fuel..??

Just my 2 cents. It's the same as running full synthetic oil, good fuel filters, distilled water in radiator. You may not notice a difference in the way it runs but it is doing something. I don't think there's any way that a 1:50 mix of oil is going to hurt anything. I know guys that fill...
