Ok everyone.. Ive read enough about all these freakin 10 second DMAX's.. now I want one.. the truck its gonna be in is my current daily driver/work truck.. but will be replaced by a new truck so I can do this..

I have an 07 Classic CC/Sb 4x4 LBZ Currently has a crappy Bully Dog, 4" Turbo back MBRP, LBZ airbox mod (for now) and some autometer gauges..

What I want to do over the next 8-12 months is replace the LBZ in it.. for a custom built LBZ with Twinz..

Seeing that i am such a noob to diesels.. I figured who better to ask my questions to than the folks at McRat racing...

Ok here is my question:

I want to use the truck as long as I can as my daily driver while I build as much LBZ on an engine stand as I can and then do a swap.. I need to know what I can do to this truck to get it ready for the swap and still be able to pluu my 36' 5th wheel.. I need to know what order to do the following things in..

Dual Cp'3? or something better if there is..

FASS or Airdog (i dont know the difference if one is better than another)

Intercooler ( Really lost about which one to get)

Turbo selection ( is 2 stock turbos good? or what is a good setup for this?)

Trans ( I have been told Suncoast stage V is what I need )

and of course EFI live..

What order should I do these in while im building a new block in the shop? if it makes a difference, I want to either use a 6.6L or a 7.1 L

again.. thanks for your replies and knowledge..

a 10 second truck daily driver and ability to tow 5th wheel is gonna be a pretty crazy build....

you defently wanna start with a solid built short block. pistons, rods, studs and cam would be a good start. Brayden and guy will be able to help you out in that area for sure.

No no.. it only has to pull my camper and be a Daily while i build the new motor..

For now I want to get as much done to it as I can untill im ready for the twinz and the new motor to go in it..

you can build the 6.6 or 7.1 block and have one turbo on it ready to be dropped in.

and get a stage V blessed by Mike L. and put it on. just have the LBZ block ready to be dropped in and go one weekend and throw on the 2nd turbo.

Maybe even supercharge it

oh I got ya. Sweet man. Still though, a solid built short block and a trans is the very start. Start with talking to Brayden, Guy, and Mike L.

Keep us updated as you build, oh and pics are mandatory :D!

Hmm... is there a long block setup anywhere available? or is this the ONLY way to get 1000 HP ?

No long block available yet, that i know of, i don't surf the net that much anymore though. As for donor motors start surfing now, they aren't that easy to find in the price range you may want to pay for a hobby.

You may be able to buy one from Guy or Dave at BMS, perhaps they are building enough of them now to offer some pre-assembled "stoutnous". I also here Codyn is doing some building, he is on this site as well. If you have ALOT of time and wanna get CRAZZZZY i have a guy for you, he's in SoCal but he only does one race car/truck at a time. No fancy shiny stuff trucks, well engineered stout scary shit.

Good luck Man.

hmm.. ok.. thanks a bunch.. you guys have put a "reality check" on me.. I am not giving up yet though.. I want to find out a lil more.. and see how things go with this current motor when i put the new turbo on.. is there any reccommendations on turbos that run good with FASS and duel cp3's? something that I can use in the later twin build possibly?

Dont look for it to live long with the dual cp3's and a turbo.I ran a single cp3 and mostly PPE tuning and a gt4094 and then some Efi live and see last almost 2 years and was about to roll over 33k miles.
