Whats the difference in cell weight from a 10 gallon cell to a 20 in .100 thick aluminum? I bet the difference is me taking a poop before I head to the staging lanes :D

I'm just giving you a hard time. The weight isn't much different if you don't fill up the 20 gallons when you race.

X2. I found out mine leaks at the top of the stock sender, so good reason to get rid of it.

I am not sur eof the voltage rescale thing though, the tank I bought includes a 0-90ohm sender, not sure if that's something I can rescale in EFI and add one gallon at a time then read voltages, or just get a auto meter gauge for $60

Cell has to be sealed. If I has a loop, it probably has a bulkhead style rollover valve then a loop to a small air filter

Went ahead and ordered that vent valve, thanks PA. Also ordered a K&N 1/2" air filter, and a -8an to 1/2" hose barb and that will complete the vent side of things. I think my air dog lines will reach all the way to the tank and back, being a regular cab and I mounted it under the bed on passenger side.

Haha, now we have a matching set. I did exactly the same thing.

Got the truck back this past weekend, didn't waste anytime.

Ran down a ZL-1 from a roll Saturday night, then got started on the fuel cell. Yanked the stock tank out today and mounted the cell. Running the lines tomorrow. :thumb:

The vent on the right side of the tank, it's a rollover valve. If and when the truck goes upside down ball valve closes and seals tank vent. if tank was upright, it can breath normally through the air filter.

And that's gonna keep fuel from gumming up your bed? Those things make a mess, you should put a hose loop on it

It will be just fine ;)

The ball floats, so if fuel tried to come back up the vent, it shuts. when fuel drops back down, vent opens.

That's what alot of people think. Give it a few weeks. Ill take a pic of my 5 gallon tank if I remember tomorrow with fuel sitting in the loop.... With a non street driven truck, with a check ball vent.
