why does my truck run mid 13s

Thanks tommy ya I knew there was a PID that reads boost + atmospheric (14.7) or something Ill check into that.

And ya stock TCM.

And yes my speed limiter is set at 150 and its been to 135 so its not that.

No I havent updated in a while, kinda scared too since i have like 10 upgrades to do lol. Still on 7.5.3

Ive logged that PID before though, dunno why its not working now? Guess first step is to do all the updates, totally lost on that one. Havent done firmware updates or anything.

Yah I had to update a bunch of crap, just read the instructions.

you need to run a modded tcm tune thts a big issue right there. tht will hold you back alot and defuel like crazy between shifts

I got to Famoso late I only live acouple miles away, you left awhile after I showed up. I heard when you smashed leaving Famoso :D. Temps here are high during the day. I did a pass last night just wanted to see were the truck was at, stock ccsb LBZ with a Bully dog ran a 14.9 in 2wd :eek:, I was expeting a 16 so I guess that made my night. I ran a friends C5 afterwards from a roll and he beat by a car or two, and from a stop the truck lit up the tires and he got by about 3 lenghts. Pretty cool to see these trucks move like that, I had some passengers too. Good luck with the truck, those kind of issues are a pain but worth it in the end.

Huh? Whatd I smash? LOL Ohhh you mean out on Famoso rd? LOL I just barely got on it to pass some car who thought it was cool to do 40 down that road....... and the back end got a lil loose :D

You from Bako? Ive got family in McFarland that own a farm so Im over there a lot - Ill be back out there in 2 more weeks well have to meet up!

oh dont act like you knew tht before me :D but i woild agree to look into tht a vvt will build boost regardless so u may be making 32 psi at 80% vane angle istead of 40 or so. i stil havent seen the tcm question answered have you tuned it yet ? you truck should run 13.0 13.1. 12s with great 60fts 1.77 or better are you shure your speed liiter is set to disable ?

are you getting to the line and hitting the throttle real fast? try calming down and easeing into it:) Just a thought

x2. And i beilve that stock tranny tune is killing you. You no longer have a stock tranny kill the defuel and torque magment and let that thing rip. It will shift hard though. Wont it larry??:eek::D

Simon Im hitting first light and building boost and letting RPMs come up slowly then bumping 2nd light..... 6-8 seconds between the 2 lights.

Like I said this morning on my "test track" I had no problem launching at 2200 like the logs show. I dunno I guess back to the track in 2 more weeks logging.

Yea, it will rip alright, it will rip right thru the internals of the transmission. Leaving the defuel and torque alone is the best thing you can do, like its been said before, theres no reason to fuel thru a shift, it will break things :eek:
