The arias pistons on my truck have taken a shit kicken over the last 3 years.

i did a compression test today and will pull the heads and inspect the valves and rings this winter. I was told that Hellfire rings are junk by steve cole and it really worried me years ago. But my motor has lasted so far....yet compression test shows it neeeds work!

Those rings don't last forever. Doesn't mean there are junk.

I prefer Arias better myself. The trouble with the Malhe is it is a compromise piston. They are made from a 4000 series alloy. Which needs less clearance and is more street friendly. But not nearly as strong as the 2618 the Arias use.

Look at gasser pistons. 4000 series alloys are for street use and light power adders. We are not light on power adders!

I have seen enough of both to convince me that the 2618 alloy is the way to go. Yes you need more clearance. But it is stronger!

Actually feel better about thing rings now John. I read a few posts about them when I fist got the pistons and was a lol worried....after seeing what I put them though, I'm pretty happy. I got rings pins clips and coated for just over 1600! I'm pretty impressed

I wouldent use a mahle forged for a door stop! Let alone a race engine. They melt / crack constantly, not what i want when i build engine's

2618 material is all i use, the material is the strongest thats for sure, No melting issu'es here, or any of the engines we've built.

Scheid used to sell them. You might call them.

As of 3 months ago they did sell them. Unless you know exactly what you want, I wouldnt recomend them though! They may be great in the Cummins world but have very little experiance in the D-Max:(

To put it lightly...I hung up on the guy! And yes i talked to the head guy in charge. After him telling me, he swapped pistons on a dyno and recommends 13:1 on a duramax, I had enough of his talk.

If some one needs pistons from them ( Arias ) for a lB7 or LLY they could simply use my job card number# ( I would be happy to let them use it )and then specify there des. comp ratio:) ( FYI i used 16.3:1 )
But I still wouldn't order from Sheids, Just because he was sooo ignorant to the duramax. JMHO.

My pistons can be used on grade A gaskets and be used with the biggest cam.

I know Jeff ( stingpuller ) used them in his lbz, But I cant speak for him.

I like the pistons.....But im no piston expert,So best of luck if you use them.:)
