Simon you are spot on... My truck takes exactly 3 seconds to spool up to 16-18 psi. Brian change your converter!!!

With tuning adjustment you can actually make it spool too fast and hard to controll

James

If you need that timng then try lowering fuel.

There is a small window of where we stage the rest is wot

These areas are quite seperate so keep working on it:)

With the 2800ft difference in DA from Firebird (where you live) to ABQ (where you ran) you should be able to get some decent testing for similar environment.

Good thing you weren't in Colorado! That same night at Bandimere was 8486ft DA! And SIR in Tucson was 6560!

Just took a vid of mine with a DA of 4167 (1750 MSL, 85* RH of 44%). This is pushing though the brakes (and the brakes of the 4000lb dual axle trailer hooked up to it!)

and that is with a tight 1057, with the 37X14.5s I would leave the line at 1750 RPM and cut a 1.77. Had track prep issues that kept me from leaving any harder if you watch it does have more to do with heat than RPM, although both play into it

Can't believe your running a 1057 but then again I guess the triples light almost instantly don't they? Only what I have read I don't have any experience with them.

I second that the 1055 would be a better suited converter for what you are trying to do. I also think that from your video, timing was rediculous and rattled like a 3yr old doing coke

There is no delay in lighting the primaries, once the one in the valley lights it is smoother all the way up. I haven't gotten to drive a big twin truck yet to know how it compares, but some guys that own big twin trucks are always surprised at how easy the primaries are to spool

Do you run a blowoff valve with your setup? How much boost are you pushing?

no BOV, enough air to keep all the fuel 60 over sticks can throw at it clean. It was made for 100 over or larger sticks
