Oh wow. I did that to my middle finger on my right hand a LONG TIME ago. Luckily they got it back together and everything is fine. Nail is jacked up and no feeling in the tip though. Lol

Same thing happened to my father in law with a tong when we worked on the rig together, sloth of a floorhand was putting on a show and old man was used to the other guy putting on instead of putting out.

Well, after 40 mph creep between Laramie and Rawlins do to wind gusts. Back up to speed all the way to Idaho.

Been plumbing brakes lines on the 35' Crossman... Those nicop lines are nice!!
Running 1/4" line from the pump in the neck, down to the axles. Have 7/16-24 to -3AN adapter.. and Dot -3AN SS line(18") to the caliper..
Theoretically.. the -3 flex line should act as an orfice, making all for brakes it at once.. with the To at roughly the center of each axle.
While the front axle should hit first.. rear should be shortly after it
Calipers are 3 3/8" diameter times 4.
Went with 1/4" vs 3/16 due to there's 28' of line between pump and forward axle..
And fluid dynamics size times length equals restriction.
Get pictures in the daylight..
Got to wire the pump and 9amp hour battery vs the 5am for e brakes..then bleed it Should be ready to go

The flow in a hydraulic brake system through the line is so small (~5cc/brake IRRC for passenger car brakes) that the restrictions from line diameter is very, very, minimal. A good reference for the volume calc is here.

It doesn't hurt to keep them equal, but I wouldn't bust a nut trying to keep it perfect. With such low flow, all the brakes will see the same pressure simultaneously regardless of line length.

On a passenger brake system you have 2 calipers per line I have 4 per line. So twice the volume I need to move..

Real world application. My 30' Kauffman got EoH disc 2 years ago.. I initially used 3/16" line.. the apply/release of the brakes time was awfully long.. bumped to 1/4" line. Apply/release time where cut drastically.
Also the distance between Master cylinder and axle even rear axle is shorter 15' on most vehicles.. I'm 29-30' from pump to first axle...
It makes a difference

No different the the guys that want to use 14/12 gauges wire for for magnets on a 50' run to carry 12-16a and wonder why there's a 5-6v drop between plug and magneys

I rechecked. A pair of calipers is ~5 square INCHs, and require ~.3125 cu inches max of fluid for full apply. That's ~5.125cc per pair. Double that for your large caliper application per pair and again for two axles. So ~21cc if your brakes don't have too much gap. (1/16" travel)

Jumping to 1/4" increased the line area by about 2.25 times.
