Made some toilet paper holder brackets to put the roll on the back of the door in the new vanity. Went to get a new toilet Saturday and wound up with a new vanity and floor too.

Got the wife's Mother's Day present built. 3 nails and a crown of thorns, hope she likes it.

Drilled and tapped some holes in 304 stainless for a customer who did the lathe work themselves. I noticed the chatter in the bore and looked at the print and wondered how they held the tolerance with it looking like this. Then I measured it and figured out they don't know how to read prints either, whew. Looks like they may have tried a straight knurl tool to try and tighten it up, lol. #2 looks a little better but it's still to big.

mmmm -- do-si-do 's Love those damn things. :hehe:

I enjoyed driving around Mid Michigan again, being an elf. Same as usual.
I did say hello to my "clone" today, though. Cute kid. :hehe: This child on the route dressed up as me for Halloween last year. It was a pretty cool compliment.

Psh, tagalongs is the only Girl Scout cookie there is. The rest are just list fillers.

I'm trying to only be over here another year I just bought the wife a car and next is some property and building a house after that I'm done.

Had a big box of each flavor flew low and tossed them out any time we saw kids now they wave instead of throw rocks haha

That's nice of you, kids only know what they're taught. Their parents on the other hand, I wouldn't mind throwing some rocks at them.

Well, I've got two weeks into my new career. The first three days were so darn slow. Won't go into that. Been reading learning new codes and just processing. Went out into the field and did ride along inspections. They warned us that we would be seeing a lot of bad/wrong plumbing installations. Wow, were they right.
Tuesday-Thursday, this week, my ride a long inspector threw me under the bus and said these are your inspections go get them. Out of the 25 inspections I did, only one passed with no corrections.
The hardest part so far, has been learning the computer software, logistics and the new codes. I work from 7-3:30 everyday, no overtime and I like it so far.:thumb:

Ugh I miss the days of no containment.

Shits a joke, gotta love those northern liberals.

I'm getting to move my first canebrake, I'm dreading it.
Ya it sure is nice not dealing with a liner or containment. Big closed loop system so the locations seem big. No invert is a bonus too!

What's a canebrake? Like a breakhandle style?

Customer brought this 3 ton jackstand in and wanted me to fix it. Looked in the northern tool book and you can buy 2 new ones for $24.99. Can't fix it for that.

McRat said about Casper "you can't buy memories, you have to make them". That applies to everything, the customer that brought this jackstand in knows it can be fixed here or he wouldn't have brought it and he knows he can buy a new set cheaper than fixing this one. He said 5 words that made me want to fix it for him to the best of my ability. He said "they belonged to my dad". I should have wanted to fix it and give the customer what they wanted instead of trying to get him a new set made overseas. I learned something from him this week and that is give the customer what they want even if you have a cheaper solution. He ask me to beef it up and do the other one too. I pray that my kids respect me enough to where they think about me the way this man thinks about his dad when I'm gone. I know I respect my dad this way and he's still here.
