Some tilt panel work last week, 125k lbs, boomed up tight at a 22' radius. This is our 330 ton liebherr crawler, we have 3 of them with another on its way.

Had a 600amp breaker shit the bed and bring most of the shop offline.... waited on power company to unhook us, rigged in two 400amp breakers into a panel that's wasn't physically large enough to fit the additional breaker but we made it fit. The power bus in the panel is rated for the current draw, just the panel couldn't accept another large breaker and one single 400 won't carry the main power bus in the shop. So like said, we made it fit to get the shop back online..

Turns out our 600A breaker is outdated and no longer made, square D wanted 7000 to make us a new one. Needless to say we are buying a new panel and updating all breakers to the newest offering and still coming in cheaper than 7k:eek:

Split these, cleaned the chrome off with a little high grit paper and a blaster. Primer, and wet sand. Did a white based coat and then the fluorescent orange and a light tan. Just got this paint from the local rep and I love it!

Those headlights look great! How well do they project?

It lacks a candy coat so the guy would lose some projection but I've seen many paint to match lights that can still get a good beam. But this is my display light so I'm gonna order some projector housings and glass from retrofit source because that in my eyes would be "doing it right"

A couple of people liked them better when they were the tan on orange because the orange popped a lot.

Done some welding on this Tonka for our 5 year old son who thinks his daddy "can take anything to work and fix it".

Damn been along time since I played with one of those. Looks like you did a good job there, but I'm not sure I would hire you to paint anything. JK I'm just envious of your fab skills.

Awesome, teach them to fix their toys when broken. :thumb: To many parents teach them to buy new if something goes wrong.

Were you making some plinking targets in the background there? Looks like duck or goose.

That's right! Fix what you got, that's what we did growing up.

The feet that are cut out in the background, I made my wife a big rooster a few years ago to put in the flower bed and gave it to her for Christmas. I carried it over to be powdercoated in primer and it stayed there for a couple weeks. I walked over one day and the guy over the shop was talking to one of his customers and I walked up to say hey, the guy over the shop points to me and says "he's got a big cock, would you like to see it?" The guys face was priceless and the guy walked over and got the rooster. I couldn't stop laughing.

Yet another day of "Christmas in July"....or as Ive taken to calling the heavy dispatches the past few weeks, "Australian Christmas".

Now if I could just see all the bikini-clad women like the Aussies do....

Just wait until next week then! Monday should be normal but Tuesday on will be hell for delivery companies. I think our record last year was about 65 million packages in a 24 hour period for the US buildings. You should be busy
