For this, I'm a Glorified Crane Technician. Service, install, and troubleshoot semi-automated Fuel Handling equipment for the Nuclear industry. Talk about your tiny market.

Makes my job sound lamer than it already is.

I've really been wanting to become a crane operator. After the baby comes I believe I'm going to go rigging for a couple years and give it a go. I've got the basics and common sense of it down as we use them here all the time but there's a lot of little things to know.

Better start soon, you're depth perception starts going south starting around 45, by 55 it can be a problem and your eyes focus a lot slower and gets worse every couple years....

Good operators don't need eyes that's what the spotter is for. One of the best operators I know wore coke bottles and still everything was fuzzy.

Like I said the earlier the better, seat of the pants feel and time operating can overcome the sight obstacle but not in all cases....

Nice. I've never been there personally but I've heard lots of good things about the people there

I was looking through the glovebox of this recently acquired Sonoma and found a receipt from 1972 for a used 1969 Camaro that was paid cash for $1,750.00 Wonder what that car is worth now?
