This is how I do it but damn it hurts my left shoulder...bar sits directly over an incision mark from surgery and f me does that feel lovely

So when you say regular is that the oly style where you hold it in your fingers, hands flexed backwards, elbows kinda pointed ahead? Do you hold the bar or does it just barely rest on your shoulders?

When I can do that your not "holding" the bar with your hands. Just more or less keeping it from rolling. I can do it that way sometimes it's just hard on my wrists.

Brock I have a Titanium plate across my left collar bone from end to end. My front delts are big enough to keep the barbell off of it most of the time... But when it hits it holy hell does it burn.

I follow you Corbin. That's normally the way I do it.

Yea it's no bueno. So how exactly does one go from the cross arm resting on the shoulders to the bendy wrists style? I work on my wrist flexibility and shoulders but the left shoulder is a bastard. Lost range of motion in it when they did the arthroscopic surgery years ago. Hints or tips welcome, not looking for an overnight remedy but I'd like to be more efficient

Yes you hold the bar with your shoulders not your hands. Throw some front or lateral felt raises into your assistance work and it will help

I've had zero motivation at the gym the last couple weeks.. I still go and do a couple workouts so I guess that's something.. Id take a break if I knew it wouldn't make things worse..

Good thing is going to the gym saves me money and from eating as terrible. Even if I just go and do a couple things.

Id rather go somewhere and sit down and have a good lunch, but that's $20 a day so I'll spend $2 a day after my gym time on lunch.. Every dollar matters these days.

Did about everything I could do to my back today exempt deads, messed my wrist up a while back. Seems it's the pulling motions that are bothering it, so I backed off deads for a while til it goes away. Hard to get any decent food in when I get two 5 minute breaks at work and lunch I don't wanna stuff myself in this missouri heat and humidity. So I've been trying to force down some high protein snacks i can eat in 5 minutes but hard boiled eggs get old fast lol.

Grille steak and chicken and then cut it up in cubes, throw 10 or so pieces in a small Tupper ware along with 8-10 almonds and a few slices if apples or oranges...bam you got protein, carbs, fats. All clean, all healthy and small enough to not make you overly full but carry you for a few hours. That's what I ate when I was in Kansas. Yall mother heffers can keep that heat and humidity bullshit down yonder lol

Been doing hard boiled eggs and apples and bananas, but I think I sweat it all out lol, gotta love that the humidity bumps the heat index like 8 degrees.

Def been hard to stay hydrated in this heat. Also hard to eat enough, as the heat really kills my appetite.

Aparently the gym I just joined is closed fridays, thank god I didn't drink my preworkout. I haven't bought a door card for 15 bucks yet because I joined for a month to feel the place out. 4 days workout weeks aren't gonna cut it, guess I'll have to fork up an extra 15.
