Slow and steady wins the race:thumb: I bet you could pull in the 300 range currently.

Slow and steady wins the race:thumb: Guys with bad backs have to keep the ego in ck:cool2:

I have learned to back it down when I'm not feeling it, saving me some injury downtime think:rofl:

:barf: :D

Let's all read this again. Conditioning takes months. Strength takes years. Well said. :thumb:

Nice! Can I assume fronts will be lighter than backs due to the nature of the movement? I had 135 on for 6 reps at the end and felt like death was near. Second, is it normal for my wrists to feel like theyre breaking or are my shoulders too small? :D

If your wrists feel like they are breaking it's lack of mobility...mine feel the same way. I can hit almost 200 on front squats but f me do the quad give me the middle finger. No way could I do the volume on fronts like Albert...guy is loco

Gonna start 5/3/1 I think, lesson was learned that my body is not a fan of smolov

Knee is starting to feel good again, had gotten a bad flare up of my IT band and a lovely calf strain. So now their under control, got like 6 or 7 weeks till I get married, gotta get my doughy self back into shape fast. :roflmao:

Congrats on getting married! I'm starting candito over, got sick a f*** in the middle and it's pointless to try and start off mid program after missing a few weeks. Also joined a new gym. Yesterday the owner, his son and sons friend were squatting 405 but none of them got any part of the thigh to parallel. Today some short stalky Mexican guy was doin 415 I think...dude is yoked. Only downside of this gym is non 2.5lb plates. Anyways I like it more but trying to feel it out so nothing serious yet other than getting cudos for squat and bench form. I will say some beefcake guys on here aimed me in the right direction

It could be some mobility as Brock eluded to. Are you able to keep upright posture for most of the movement? I will start to lose vert at about 275 on up but can fight through most of the time. Makes the wrists hurt though, best to keep strict form and save the pud whackers;)

DEXA came in pretty fluffy for my taste. 23.3%BF.
Up 27 pounds since October; 18 fat and 9 lean mass. That was eating like an asshole with reckless abandon. And it was great.

I'm on a base cycle of renaissance periodization now. I eat pretty much the same few meals over and over, which makes changing things easier. Dropping carbs at breakfast altogether, loading them after workouts and cycling based on activity.

Any of you guys play with intra-workout carbs?

Im upright for most of the movement. The weight has been light while trying to get the form correct. Another member showed me the crossed arms technique and it felt like the bar was trying to choke me. Im ex-ing them out of my routine. I dont think im big enough to hold the weight properly. The bar sits on my clavicle and doesnt feel too good. Flat bench is pretty much gone too. Havent done it in weeks and Ive experienced zero shoulder pain. Up to 70# DB press and feeling great!
