I haven't worn my ring in close to 20 years... Heavy equipment tech and fingers tore off or skinned to the bone don't interest me to much:D

A good sharp barbell will F that ring up in a hurry on the heavy pulls.

I prob won't be wearing one when working on truck/car, slightly terrified of the EMT/ER guys trying to cut it off me if finger swells. Dat iconel :D

Smolov is where its at Albert! As soon as I am back to 405 area, I am getting back on that crazy train. :villagers:

Well I'll have time to heal my back up and get back to the gym. I was unfortunately laid off today so I'll have time on my hands again.
This should give you an idea of how pliable the qalo rings are. Had mine a touch over a year. But super comfy and stretchy

Still at it, making some progress but I think it is more mental than actual gains.

Pulled 380 lbs a few days ago, went up so easy that I went for 390, which I don't think I got more than 2 inches off the deck. lol. same thing happened when I first tried 380 a few weeks ago. jerked 370 up like nothing then totally bombed on 380. pretty sure it is a mental thing at this point but a 390 pull is definitely there.

having some right hip pain, feels like impingement in the socket, I'm assuming from my switch to low bar, wider stance. but the hip pain is bearable compared to the low back issues I was running into from high bar squats.

My wedding band is soft gold, i never wear it to the gym or work. Already smashed it on my finger once with a piece of granite. Had to use plyers to make it round again so i could remove it. Those qalo rings are pretty cool!

Level 5.. Going to try and make it a point to row 500 every time I get to the gym. That's all my cardio :rofl:

Going home tomorrow so gave it one last shot at a deadlift PR.

Like I said the other day, pulled 380 easier than I expected but missed 390. Well I decided not to mess around today and go big.

I am pretty satisfied with that at 170lbs body weight, it went up pretty quick, I took a video of it to check my form and it looks rock solid to me. Maybe I'll post it tonight and get some pointers. I went for 410 after that and it wasn't happening. Haha.

Too small of a jump for deads IMO, its not like bench.

Congrats on the 400 PR :thumb:

I would do like 385, 405, then 435 attempt
