WTH does "geared" mean? I'm getting that it's "steroids" but is it something specific or generic term for any PHD?

I'm so lost. LOL I've known a few guys who are big and lift but none that take drugs that I'm aware of. Scratch that, I remember one guy did. He didn't do it to get huge though, just toned up. Well, maybe more than tone, but not huge by any means.

It's just a generic term for PED's. I'm guessing its called that because "steroid" has so much negative baggage. Also anyone who isn't directly involved with lifting doesn't have a clue what your talking about...

I dunno about that. Most top guys are geared.

I know that USAPL is fairly strict with testing, usually the top finishers will be tested. But you are right, the top guys def use when they shouldn't be.

I know strongman is a outlaw style where anything goes I think.

470 Deadlift tonight... Probably had 475 but blew my wad on the 470:D

12 weeks to the next meet in Feb. Meet goals
350 bench currently 335
405 squat currently 370 ish
500 deadlift currently 470
at least a 1250 total...
Not going to worry about weight. I can't seem to put any on anyway:D Still 200...

Training is going good on bench and deads. Squats are struggling, hopefully just a little plateau. Plan on some heavy pin squats and pause squats as additional leg work:thumb:

USAPL is legit thats why I think so highly of Ray Williams and Blaine Sumner. They test their lifters.

Last nights workout:

3X8 @ 68% Deadlift

Superset:
3X8 @ 60% Front Squat (Technique)
3X8-15 Pull ups

Conditioning:

3X Power Cleans
3X Push Jerks
3X Burpees

AMRAP in 10 Minutes

Also decided to go for some heavy singles on cleans last night and hit a 280lb clean for a 25lb PR. Just wanted to share as there is nothing better than seeing your numbers go up.

Squats today, been feeling like sh*t for a week, stupid cold... Just got of a 7 day hitch at work as well.

Squats went as well as could be expected. Completely bombed the dead variation...

So there's a kid at my gym that bugs the crap out if me. Mayb it's the workout plan he is on or maybe I'm the idiot. He is 17-18 probably. Every day he is there so I'll give him that.everyday he trains arms and maybe one exercise of another muscle group. But what really bugs me is the fact that he will do one set of something then flex/ pose in front of the mirror for 2-3 min between each set!! He has been in my way numerous times as h usually does this by the dumbell rack.


The first few weeks I was just like whatever and didn't let it bug me. Yesterday I was doing incline dumb bells with 100s and failed about half set. He was probably 5 feet away just checking himself out in the mirror. Not that I want him to spot me but at that point it would have great if someone would have helped.

I always pay attention to if someone has heavy weight or looking like they are struggling.

So should I say something or just drop a 100 on his foot next time he is in my way?

Maybe it's just the preworkout making me geek out and get pissy at this kid. Lol.

For those interested in Gear. Here's how much my weight and lifts dropped after PCT.

I did 3 months of test and deca.

Went from 170 to 196
Pulled 505
Benched 370
Never maxed shoulder press but was working out with 200

Now I'm off and done with PCT
Body weight 185
Bench 345 easy last night
Shoulder press still using 190-200 depending on the day lol
Havent maxed deads again, feel pretty good about them though.

Sure brute power and recovery have gone down a lot. Workouts tire me out much faster. No huge pumps anymore, blood pressure is down to 120/70 it was 135/89.

All in all I'm impressed. My diet was no where near perfect either.

Oh I tried pre workout mix whike in cycle, thought my biceps were gonna split open. Very painful. Don't recommend anything like that while on gear, jmho.

So when do you "gear up" in relation to when you plan on working out? A certain time before your workout or... ?

When you take steroids, the timing and periods for shots are determined by the ester attached to the steroid. Most people choose a ester that allows for twice per week shots. Some prefer esters with every other day shots (these act much faster and get results quicker and allow for shorter cycle lengths). The idea is to maintain stable hormone levels. So no it's not like a quick boost you up thing, it takes time for the effects to come, and keeping stable blood levels is key.
