So as not to completely scrap all the twins 316 stainless, and hours of labor in the last set of up pipes, decided modify them into a 3 piece Y pipe / turbo mount. After a whole day of fitting and welding, discovered the turbo outlet tube is gonna clash with charge cooler cover. Mock up twice, measured 3 times, and dang thing still doesn't fit how I want....

Yeah in the bottom. And trying stuff a 75mm throttle body in between as a emergency air shutoff.

Flipping back to internals again, 1st set back in their respective holes.

Did I mention how well designed the medium duty oil pans are for performance applications? Like GM designed it for easy inspection and overhaul purpose ..

Both bottom ends back together, one set of pipes is welded up, and one to go.. Soon as we get injectors back, these shoukd finally be ready to drop into the boat.

Looks like 200% over nozzles gonna be the magic # to bring pw under 1500us at 700hp range. Sure hope she ain't to too hazy..

Are those turbos liquid cooled or are you just going with heat shields on them?
Just wrapping for now.

Haven't found a suitable water cooled off the shelf housing for S475 platform that could be adapted listed anywhere. Also considered jacketing these turbine housings since it's cast stainless. But long as it's taken to build up-pipes, for the meantime that 2000F rates blanket gonna have to do..

My stainless polisher guy complained about working around brackets on last set of pipes. So once he's done, I'll add the hangers to support them off these bellhousing bolts.

Certainly don't want them breaking welds after all this hard work..
