Tony let me know if you need help . I can be there tomorrow morning not much of a wrencher but can be there for moral support:happy2:

you'll never learn by not wrenching:D before my truck my expertise didn't extend past oil changes, fuel filters, and putting air in tires LOL...

Just installed my Cheetah...needing some help from someone to read a log for me. The turbo went in fine but is not building any boost...the tuning that is on there is for my old stock turbo but I don't think this should cause the turbo to pretty much be useless. I'm pretty frustrated right now but I logged some stuff and wonder if anyone could tell me what's going on. Don't know if it's an issue with the tuning or turbo...going to get my Cheetah tunes from Fleece tomorrow hopefully but if anyone can shed light on this it would be helpful

I dont know anything about reading your log- but on my buddies 71.5 he had the same issue for a long time! He switched vane position sensors, another sensor, and alot of tunes. He finally got it figured out- it was in the tuning. Good luck with the tunes from Fleece- get them in there and then go from there. GOOD LUCK- Steven

It shows desired vane pos being like say 80% and the actual will be like 8% also shows areas of negative boost...didn't realize that was possible

Your vanes aren't doing anything. You either left it unplugged or have a bad solenoid. You have codes for it too.

Where do I got about getting that solenoid? Is it the Turbo Vane Position Sensor on top of the turbo with the white wire?

No, the sensor and solenoid are two seperate things. The solenoid is a silver canister shaped object that, as you are looking at the turbo from the compressor side, is on the left side of the cartridge. There is a white plastic connector on it where the control wire plugs into it.

Looking for a new turbo(s) set up. I like the MPI twin setup which I know passes emissions in Idaho however wanted some feedback on whether or not it would in Cali. I also love the Cheetah after seeing/feeling it in Johnny's Kodiak. But have also heard good reviews on the 4094. So as you can tell my mind is kind of going a bunch of different directions when it comes to a turbo purchase however, because it's a big purchase that will also require purchasing new tuning to go along with it I am torn at this moment. I read Pat's thread about "Which Turbo Is Right for Me" but still haven't made my mind up. Any advice anybody? Keep in mind right now I'm running stock internals, stock CP3, ADII, and SC V. Thanks in advance.

I like the HTT for what you are looking for. It's less money than most, has 650HP potential, lowers EGT's, and makes more whistle than the stocker, but not insane amounts. Keep the boost down to about 34psig with it, and they have good reliability. Crank the wastegate shut, and it will not last as long as it should.

I really have to test the Garrett AVNT 94 sometime. That might be a good solution as well. The AVNT 88 was a flop.

Twins are great, but they are more money, and more work. If you they are in your budget, they are a good solution as well.

I have a couple idea's as to why......:ralph::alc:

hahaha im fighting a weight issue . LOL

:thumb: Good luck on the quest Tony .

Put down the fork Johnny!!:D

Nope...johnny asked the same thing when I told him..

Well for $2500+ why would you?:bs:
Your vanes could be stuck as well. Try giving the turbo a couple little love taps with a hammer to free them up. I've seen this happen a couple times.

This looks like a mechanical problem, and not a tuning problem to me. Your ECM is commanding 80%+ vane position, the turbo just isn't giving it.
