Managed to sneak the 32ft trailer into the driveway solo, was quite pleased :D

What would cause the truck to feel like I am driving over a million logs, bumping like crazy at lower speeds? Its not on the bump stops, so I am guessing shot shocks?

yup, bad?

Frame beaming. Not harmfull, Anything towing a trailer will do it at some certain speed, just more pronounced with larger loads. A few things you can do to help with it, but cant get rid of it entirely. Biggest thing is properly balancing your load.

Here is my wheeling buddies lly on our first trip with the new trailer, he now has air bags.
His fuel mileage was the same as my half ton gasser with just my jeep behind... I now own a lmm.

More weight to the front, experiment with it on a day when your not going somewhere. Just keep moving it forward 8" at a time and go for a short drive, you'll know when it's right. Then mark the spot so you can find it next time.

So you want more weight on the hitch? Interesting, would not have thought that

Like car on trailer motor facing back, or more weight over hitch?

Any advice on this stuff is def appreciated guys :thumb:

forward/more hitch weight..

since i load mine with a rather diverse load types i took a spray can and painted a line across the trailer, dead center between tandems and the pin/tongue.. not only does it help me but also helps the forklift opertor to put the load roughly where i want it...

on a tag i would shoot for 700-1000lbs... from what you are describing the car is almost entirely over the trailer axles..

like another said.. move the load forward untill everything feels planted..

Raymond, Alberta,
:thumb: trailer looks killer. Must know what he was doin in 1982. Lol
Thanks
The axles slide forward and the deck tilts. But since he built ramps for it we haven't used the tilt deck feature, so it doesn't tilt anymore lol. This one is a 20' and he also built a 18' tag that has the tilt deck too, plus the necks interchange so the gooseneck could go on the tag if u wanted lol
Here's a pic of the stick on the hoe
